Just looking at this problem and solution and thought you should also be aware that everytime I find the convergence ic's failed on this unit there is a 5 amp cp (circuit protect fuse) on the power supply.

you can purchase the IC's from MCMelectronics.com
depending on which ones you have it might cost you around 15 bucks each and you should replace in pairs and make sure your resisters are good before replacing them otherwise if ones bad you will be doing the repair again.

You may be having a convergence problem. Convergence focuses the different color guns of the tv. This is usually a way to set the convergence via your menu. If this doesn't work, you may need new IC chips. This is fairly expensive. It cost me around $300 last time I had it done and it was hard to find anyone to do it. Good luck!

Green color projection is lifting from the bottom left corner of the screen. Convergence adjustment for the green projection is unresponsive

The TV has a convergence problem; the IC’s for that circuit will need to be replaced. The cost for this repair runs around $450.00 or more.

Replace the defective Convergence Output IC Part Number (STK392-110. When Convergence Output failure is
detected, it’s recommended that both IC’s be changed.

I have alot of offset blue and yellow in my picture. I tried convergence from the front but it didn't help...what can I do to fix w/o alot of cost in these tough times..?
Hi,
This problem is related to the convergence, but it requires replacement of IC STK from one of them who control convergence, check both and replace faulty IC STK from new one and your tv work fine again. You can buy the convergence IC's from the link click here.

My Mitsubishi VS-50705 has an all over 3-D effect.
Yes it sounds to be convergence issue .

You have convergence problem in your tv . You need to replace convergence IC . YOu can get from the link below .

Convergence ICs

You need to replace both convergence ICs .It will cost you around $30 .
The IC number is STK392-110 .

Even though I'm from MI I will try to help you. Your TV uses a convergence IC > STK393-110 HIC > Part number > 267P140020. This model only uses one IC. The cost of IC is $27.20 from MIT but could get at local supplier cheaper.

Panasonic Flashing codes:
1: ----------------- +140 v.
2: ----------------- Low DC
3: ----------------- Convergence
4: ----------------- HHS
5: ----------------- IC 4011
6: ----------------- IC 4018
3 is convergence, either one of the two convergence ICs faulty, or something else (capacitor etc.) has blown on convergence board.

Red vertical lines
red verticle lines are most likely a bad tube or convergence problem. You will not be able to fix this your self . I suspect a bad convergence ic cost for parts are around 45.00 servicer charge about 250 to fix. At least know when you call a servicer you will have
a good understanding of problem.good luck.

Convergence IC,s overheat
the ic is getting too much voltage check a diode that feed into the ic it has a short.if you dont locate that defected component it will cost you much more than the set lol.good luck
