Remote Control not working

Sometimes the remote control works sometimes not - usually not. Specifically the OK button won't work and not allowing to transer between inputs ie. tv, does hdd to dvd but cannot seem to use it with the tv (Tv brand is NEC)

Is ther anyway to fix the problem or is the simple solution to go out and get new remote.

Have checked the batteries and they are fine.

Doesn't seem to make sense to e - as the remote works intermittently - so sometimes some buttons on the remote work other times all the buttons on the remote work - and these buttons include just scrolling up through channels and scrolling down through channels - up works all the time down works some of the time.. Other buttons are doing the same thing...

Yeah you are right is it the remote itself or the unit?

Heh, I got exactly the same problem 3 days ago. Question is, is it the remote or the unit itself?

Why can't I program my insignia remote to a davinci d7 home theater system

Hey there! So, programming a remote can sometimes be a bit tricky, especially when it comes to compatibility between different devices. In this case, it seems like you're having trouble programming your Insignia remote to work with your DaVinci D7 home theater system.

The thing is, remote controls are designed to work specifically with certain brands and models of devices. While Insignia remotes are usually quite versatile, they may not be compatible with all home theater systems out there, including the DaVinci D7.

Different home theater systems often use different communication protocols or codes to receive commands from the remote control. If the codes used by your DaVinci D7 are not included in the Insignia remote's pre-programmed list, it won't be able to communicate effectively with your system.

However, don't worry just yet! There might still be a few options to explore. First, make sure you're following the correct programming instructions provided by Insignia for your specific remote model. Sometimes, a small oversight in the programming process can cause issues.

If you've followed the instructions correctly and it's still not working, you could try reaching out to Insignia's customer support. They might have additional information or alternative methods to program the remote specifically for the DaVinci D7 system.

In some cases, a universal remote might be a good alternative. These remotes are designed to work with a wide range of devices and often offer more customization options, allowing you to program them for devices that aren't on the pre-programmed list.

So, while it might be a bit disappointing that your Insignia remote isn't working with the DaVinci D7, there are still a couple of avenues to explore. Give those suggestions a shot, and hopefully, you'll find a solution that gets your remote and home theater system working together seamlessly. Good luck!

Two buttons do not work can it be repaired

Fix a TV, DVD player, etc remote control with buttons that won't work or don't work well. This is usually caused by dirty or oxidized contacts. Sometimes they will work a little bit if you press the buttons hard, or hold them for a few seconds. I show you how to clean the contacts and get your remote control working again. I didn't mention it in the video, but you want to make sure the batteries in the remote are good.

Remote control

Remotes fail for about 4 different reasons and most can usually be fixed:

1. batteries bad or cause rust etc on contacts, or contacts do not hold batteries tight.

2. Liquid sometimes gets spilled on front where the buttons are--it is a one piece mat and if liquid gets under the buttons do not work or some do not work.

3. Remote gets dropped--usually this breaks a connection or part loose from the circuit board inside.

4. Remote not programmed for unit being used on.

different approach for each---which describes your problem?

The remote can be tested by any shop to see if sending a signal or not.

Dog ate remote where can i find one?

Hello
If you want to get its original model remote control; you have to contact the nearest RCA authorised service center at your town. You can't buy its orignal from nowhere else. A universal RCA remote control will work with it, but sometimes some buttons of it may not synchronised. So try to get its original model. Moreover, if by anyway this set happened to be in FPA lock, you cannot open the lock without the orignal remote control. A universal remote control, whatever it may be, won't work then. OK.

Have Emerson TV and lost original remote. Direct TV remote was programmed by Direct TV and working fine, then my son did something and it messed up. Bought a universal remote, able to get TV on and program...

There are control buttons on the side of the tv. Usually just on/off, volume, channel and menu. Go it menu using these buttons to navigate. Reset tv to default settings or sometimes called factory settings. This should get colour back. Download or read instructions on your remote and reprogram. Sometimes with modern universal remotes you need to program them through your PC with a specific application downloaded from remote manufacturer.

Volume controls dont work when using remote

I would start by trying other codes on the universal remote. Sometimes codes will only work part of the remote such as the numbers or channels but not volume. Your motorola cable remote sounds like it may only need a good cleaning. sometimes when you take remotes apart it will look like somthing got spilt in it. I would start there first.
