I used windows vista on ma hp pavillion dv1000 but i didnt worked properly....no audio drvers detected not even supported and as well as some of others too... i need drivers info related to my dv1000

You can download the audio and device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEBsupport/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windowsdrivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download thedrivers: -

Please go to this site and select the operating system you are running. Audio drivers may be under Audio or chip set. Please note that Vista drivers should work with Windows 7. Hope this helps.

Have you checked in control panel Hardware and sound to see if anything is enabled in there

if you go to http://welcome.hp.com/country/uk/en/support.html you can down load audio drivers
or http://www.realtek.com.tw/Downloads you can download AC'97 or hd audio drivers

Sir, i have HP Pavilion dv 1000 (XP operating system). Recently, i upgrade it by Window 7 but Now audio driver is not working properly now. pl suggest to solve it.----- pratik

the audio card probably does not support vista or windows 7, but you should be able to use the driver for XP and it should work fine.

Open the Dervice Manager and check the driver status. Update if necessary.

Please I need to know the model number for the PC , it is written in the back side, (e.x: dv 1010ca)
then we can try to find a solution in hp or sound ship site.

There are two different audio cards shipped with Pavilion DV1000 series Notebooks.

If your Notebooks belong to DV1600 series, your Notebook should have been shipped with Conexant High Definition Audio card.

This can be one of the reason why you are unable to install the Conexant AC Link audio drivers in your Notebooks.

You need to install Microsoft UAA Drivers first before installing the Conexant High Definition Audio Drivers in the Notebook.

Download the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture(UAA) Drivers for your Notebook from the HP link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe

Please save the file in the Notebook and double click it after the download completes to install the drivers. Restart the Computer once the installation of the Microsoft UAA Drivers is completed.

Now download the Conexant High Definition audio drivers from the link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32864.exe

Save the file and double click on it once it is saved to install the Drivers.

This should solve the issue with audio in your Notebooks.
