Refridgerator door handle

The entire handle slides upward and out to detach from the door. There are two screws attached to the handle which can be tightened once the handle is off. Those screw heads are what reattach the handle to the door by sliding them through the door bracket opening, where they follow a short channel down leaving the handle secured again.

Some Whirlpool models have a handle that is in three main pieces; the top-mounted holder, the bottom-mounted holder and a handle that is supported in between them. For this type, remove the plastic end cap for the holder that is loose by taking a very small flat screwdriver and tapping the cover off of the end (the top one you tap straight up and the bottom you tap straight down).
The there is a cover in the handel holder that snaps in place into a channel in the holder. With the end cap removed, you can carefully pry it out - be very careful to pry out from a shallow angle -10 to 20 degrees. If you stick a small screwdriver underneath and pry out at, say, 45 degrees, you may bend this cover (the very end does bend a little, but don't worry about that). Just make sure you are sticking the screwdriver in very far and then gently pry off the cover.
With the cover off, you will see the screws that hold the handle to the door. These are frequently Torx screws (they look like little stars) that are T-20 in size. Tighten these down, but not too tight or you may strip the threads.
Snap the cover back into the channel in the holder and slide the plastic end cover back into the end and you are done!
