Question about Olympus D-545 Zoom Digital Camera
When i try to power the camera on, the red light blinks to indicate there is power then it powers right off. I first thought it was the batteries, but then i purchased new batteries especially for electronics and it does the same thing. Also, the lens does not move in or outward anymore, it's stuck in the outward position.
Apparently the problem with my camera shutting down and the lens staying out, was the rechargeable batteries I was using. They basically lkicked the bucket, and were no longer working., I bought a new set of lithium batteries and the camera is working fine now.

SOURCE: lens is stuck
This happens when the camera is in the ON state and the battery power drains out completely. Please recharge the batteries or insert charged batteries and the lens would get closed automatically.
Please let me know if that works.
Thanks and Regards,
