It powers off as soon as I turn it on-NOT the batteries

SOURCE: Camera wobn't turn on & lens stuck in out position

Apparently the problem with my camera shutting down and the lens staying out, was the rechargeable batteries I was using. They basically lkicked the bucket, and were no longer working., I bought a new set of lithium batteries and the camera is working fine now.

SOURCE: lens is stuck

Hi,
This happens when the camera is in the ON state and the battery power drains out completely. Please recharge the batteries or insert charged batteries and the lens would get closed automatically.
Please let me know if that works.

So you having with stuck problem on your camera?

Try this:
1. When it's try to closing.
2. Push it.
3. But don't try to push when it's not trying to closing the lens.

I having the same problem before, and it works for me.

SOURCE: Lens won't retract, stuck in outward position

battery power/and or lens motor/ if lucky the lense connection, (Try removing the lenses and puting them back) may be a bad electrical connection.
