Can a PDF be created from an Excel document? And

The easy way (but labor intensive) is to put the file names in a column (can be any name you want or the pdf file name), right click on a cell, hit insert hyperlink, and in the address field at bottom, put in the file pdf file name. You would have to do this for each of your 100 files.

If you want to automate it, create a column with the directory path name, a 2nd column with the full file names, a 3rd column where you concatenate the two previous columns to create the full path, and then use the hyperlink command to provide the link:

This should work like a charm and the other advantage is that excel won't rename your path locally depending on weather a file is open or not).

A "pdf" is a file type created by Adobe and is associated with Adobe Reader. "PDF" stands for "Portable Document Format" and allows documents to be viewed the way they were written - with all the fonts, pictures, etc. intact - even if the computer on which they're being displayed with lacks the font files, graphics programs, etc. locally.

The Adobe Reader program is free to download and use. Adobe Acrobat (or "Writer as is it is often called) is the original program used to actually create a pdf file. This program is not free. There are however, other programs that have become available that will create a pdf file free.

First you will need to create separate .pdf files then you can combine files with Adobe Acrobat through command Document/Insert Pages.

You can try to create PDF file directly from Microsoft Word. Adobe Acrobat Professional installs a virtual printer on your computer. Print the document from Microsoft Word, but make sure you select appropriate printer from the list. It should be called "Adobe Acrobat PDF Printer", or similar.

That is normal, Word 2007 cannot create PDF documents, it can only save files on PDF but, being PDF non his own format, it will lose document format, and may not display pdf.

To create PDF you need the full version (not the free acrobat reader) of adobe acrobat, or a different adobe software (eg illustrator) that manages PDF.

With adobe profesional you can make a PDF form, and send to the recipients. They can fill the form with Adobe reader and send it to you back, but only the data will be sent to you, not all with the pdf.

Here is the simple procedure:
1. Create form: Open adobe prof, menu advance --> Form --> create new form. You will go to Adobe design to create the form, there you can also retrieve your scanned document.
Don't forget to put "submit button" and your email address.
2. Then save as pdf form. It is ready to be send to your recipients.
3. The recipients will fill the data and send to you by pushing the "submit button".
4. You will receive the data in your mailbox, as an attachment of email. You can use adobe prof to collect it, example to put it in Microsoft Excel.
Go to menu advance --> form --> Create Spreadsheet from data files. A dialog box will come out, put in the files you received from your recipients. then go on, you will have the Excel data.
For put it in your database of your system, your programmer should create a program/ included in your system's program.
