Adobe will not work

Flash can get corrupted sometimes. Do an uninstall from add and remove programs and then go to the download link below and install the new version from scratch. That should fix it.
Make sure you un-check the additional offer box in the middle on the downloads page and during installation look for a similar offer and un-check it.

have you tried to boot into safe mode by tapping f8 @ start up? if you can boot into safe mode, i recommend going here: https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?lg=english&ct=united+states&docid=20080710133834EN&product=home&version=1&pvid=f-home and downloading the norton uninstaller and running it in safe mode with networking. that should clear up any drivers or files that were not removed when the uninstaller ran. then go to www.piriform.com and download ccleaner and run that in safe mode.

Please try these steps:
1. Try to uninstall flash player by use Add/ Remove programs.(Start - Control Panel- Add/Remove Program)
2. Go to Adobe website download latest version of Flash Player and installer it. Adobe Website will verify the installation for you. Go here for the Flash Player

This can be done under administrator account only. If new message say you can't uninstall because program is in use, please open Task Manager and End Flash Player task then keep doing the uninstallation.

If you have an older version, or, if you have managed to install more than one version, you will get this error.

You can try this "Make older programs run in this version of Windows" using the "Program Compatibility troubleshooter" in Win 7 -> LINK

If it does not work, then you need a newer version 8.

I would recommend uninstalling the version of Adobe Reader you have installed through the Control Panel>Programs and Features.

Then download and install the latest version directly from Adobe's site.

It seems that more and more programs are cutting support for Panther (OS X 10.3). I would try to download Firefox and see if the website works. Firefox 3 isn't compatible with Panther, so you need to get Firefox 2 at:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Select your favorite language and click the middle column for OS X. After you install Firefox, see if the website works. Hopefully Firefox will acquire the version of Flash that it needs.

This is a nice site for old versions of programs (including flash):

Open your Control Panel (from the Start menu), open Add or Remove Programs and look for the listing Adobe Flash Player.
If it isn't present, or is listing a player older than version 9, your download probably didn't install.

If it is listed, I would remove it form the list and repeat your download, preferably from Adobe's site to ensure you get the most recent version.
