Hi,

Do you have the operating instructions for your dishwasher. If not, open the door and there should be a manufacturer's badge on the inside of the door somewhere. Find out what model machine you have. I can help you find a manual online.

A couple of general tips for your info.

  • Wipe or rinse excess food particles from dishes before you stack them in machine.
  • Stack neatly and spaced apart to give better wash results.
  • Make sure dishes and pot handles are clear of the sprinklers. Turn sprinklers by hand and make sure they dont hit against anything.
  • I prefer using dishwashing tablets as they are a measured amount. Best not to use too much soap or powder.
  • If you are using powder, use rinse aid along with it.
  • Dont put your crystals or good wine glasses in the dishwasher.
Hope this helps somewhat.
good luck.
Ash

Kenmore

Make sure you run water in your sink until it is hot before you start the dishwasher. On the newer dishwashers they will fill and drain until the water is hot enough so it takes longer if it starts with cold water. Normal time for a basic wash could take about 45 min.
