A moderate heat will be generated while LCD TVs, when they play for long time. it is allowable. The heat generated is from its back light CCFL lamps. Do not cover the set with any type of coverings when it works. Keep a distance of at least 6 inches between wall and the back side of the TV.
If your playing from an LCD or Plasma widescreen, then your gonna be missing all day. For some reason newer displays will not work with nes shooter games.
If your using it on an older tube tv, chances are that bulb alignment is not set correctly (At the end of the zapper). You would have to purchase a replacement gun.
The gun could be broken. However, if you're trying to use it on a flat-screen TV (LCD, Plasma, or Rear-Projection), those TVs are not compatible with light guns. You must use an old-style CRT TV.
You didn't say what type of TV Remote you have, however, generally,make sure that you have connected the Wii according to package directions. Your Wii should show under games when you click on your input button and see your input menu on the screen.. Remember to turn it back to your TV input when you are finished playing.

Check in the settings on ps3 and make sure that it is set correctly to hdmi. Next on your tv menu screen for picture make sure all resolutions are set 720, 1080, etc
Hi it seems that the colour gun has gone faulty or the equivelent in an lcd tv. I purchased my umc from makro & I have never had any problems returning anything. As long as it is within the 12 month warranty. If 28 or more days have passed, contact makro or UMC & get an RMA number & you can get it replaced or refunded.
