I have a halogen bulb in my Dacor IVS1 vent hood that needs to be changed but I cant figure out how to get the bulb out.
Buylighting.com, JDR120V-75W-E27CG...also comes in 50 watt. They aren't inexpensive, but if installed properly, will last a while. We have a little suction cup to take them out and put them in. It came with the range hood. If you get fingerprints on a halogen bulb, it can blow out quicker.

Remove the metal filter screen. Reach behind (above) the bulb and rotate/unscrew the bulb by the base and it will drop out. Place the new bulb through the hole while reaching behind to screw it in the same way you removed it. Many replacements available online for under $6 plus shipping. Search in Google for "JDR E27 75W" (My dealer had said the bulbs would cost $40!)

same problem.
The bulbs unscrew like a buld in a lamp.
But once you get it out, try finding a spare one.
I have the same model, and have been looking for a spare for months.
II wish that someone would tell me how to get a replacement halogen bulb for my less than a year old Dacor IVS1 vent a hood. I tried to order one by phone, but the sales rep had no idea what I was trying to describe to her. I received what she thought I needed yesterday---no where close! I have it packaged and ready to return tomorrow. There is no picture or information on their web site that identifies the bulb. I certainly do need it for the holidays!
