Yesterday I came home to find my Living room television out. It would not turn on. Since having it 9 years I figured it was just old. So I got rid of it. I then went into my room and tried to turn on my tv Apex AT2008 but it would not turn on either. It had no sound and no picture! The indicator light would come on but nothing else. Is it coincidence two TV's go out the same day or could it be from an electrical spike that blew something?

My scanner works in one room and not another. However sometimes it does work. There is nothing new around it that would cause an interference in reception. Any ideas what the problem could be?

physical location and the fact both in one location have problems mean something is blocking or affecting signal---old joke: if you turn your head a certain way and it hurts--don't turn that way!

Is there any health issues with using a Living Air Filter in your home? A couple of years ago, I heard there was legislation being proposed to ban their use in California.

California Air Resources Board was paid to ban any non-commercial Ozone-producing machines from being shipped into the state. Volarra, didn't want to spend the money to DEMAND they produce a list of injured parties, ALWAYS a part of any ban on a product. When I called them they said they knew of no injuries or medical lawsuits. I've never heard of any...after 9 years. Green Environmental Technologies installs the Space-Certified part into Hospital Surgical rooms, the OLD ozone technology got rid of my 2 boys teen-room odors and they stopped using their inhalers. Went from 4 per month for 15 years for the both of them, to 4 per year. GET also went to the Atlantis Casino and purified their KENO room with a single OLD technology commercial unit. GET-GreenTech.com They've been commercial certified, mold certified, have a PhD on staff, with partners across the country. This technology is good enough to fight a toxic chemical spill, so YES there's a chance that you could overuse it. But like the water tap, you should learn the symptoms of it being too high. Headaches, pool bleachy smell, sore throat in the morning that goes away pretty fast. These machines are supposed to be on as LOW as possible!

My living room gas heater will not stayb lit

Try replacing the thermo coupler. There should be a little bulb shaped part(like a pencil eraser) that the pilot light heats up .The other end screw into the gas valve. If this is going bad or has gone bad the pilot light will not stay lit. Most of these are under$10.Well good luck and try to stay warm.

Loses electric

Get a voltage meter and see if you have 110-120volts ac at the outlet. If the lights and/or a bathroom fan have any feedback they could lower the voltage to your TV and it may have a low voltage safety relay that turns off the TV when low voltage is present. This happens in older homes. If this home is older this little problem may be telling you that the wiring in your home is old and in need of replacement. You do not want a fire.

Both TV'S Blanked out, i've only had them for a year

Most likely a ruptured ceramic capacitor on the main power pcb. The capacitor must be replaced with a different, special, type or it will fail again. We have repaired a lot of them with this problem. If it is less than a year old it is still on parts warranty.
