My printer is evidently installed correctly, since I am able to print OK, but I cannot scan, I get an error message when I press start scan and OK - "no scan option", and refer to "device documentation"

Click on the link to resolve printing issue on wireless network -> Link
Click on the link to find out if the HP Printer is on wireless network on not -> Link

To Setup the printer on wireless network, follow the steps below
1. Press the SETUP Button printer front panel
2. Scroll to Network - Press OK
3. Scroll to Wireless Setup Wizard - Press Ok
The printer will start searching for wireless router.
Choose the SSID ( Network ) and enter SSID ( network key if setup ) and Press OK
You should get a message as Printer Wireless Setup complete.

Run the HP Printer Software Disk and Choose Add a printer and Choose Wireless Installation and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup

If an error message is displayed on the LCD, take the corresponding countermeasure described
below.

There are no photos in memory
card.
There are only invalid images on the memory card.
Photo data edited/processed on a computer should be printed from the
computer, not from the camera.
There is no paper. Reload the paper correctly and press [OK].
The paper is jammed. If paper has jammed in the machine, clear the jam, reload the paper in the
machine correctly and then press [OK].

Glass.
If the machine is connected to the computer, you can align the FINE
Cartridge using the MP Driver. Follow the procedures described in the
Printer Driver Guide.
The following ink may have run out.

This FINE Cartridge may have previously been used, or the ink may have
run out. The function for detecting the remaining ink level will be disabled
since the remaining ink level cannot be correctly detected. If you want to
continue printing without this function, press [OK]. Canon recommends to
use new genuine Canon Cartridges in order to obtain optimum qualities.

My printer is Lexmark x5650. It prints well, but when i try to scan it starts making knocking noise after few seconds and continues 15 sec. then i get a message on printer's control panel display...

Unrecoverable scan error indicates a hardware problem. It's also evident with the "knocking noise" in the printer. I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark technical support for assistance.

Kadak Easy Share 5300 printer. Screen reads "Please wait"-stuck

Try this one
Take out the inks and printhead
Leave the cartridge door open, then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while the access door is open
Close the cartridge door once the cord is unplugged
Reconnect the powercord, turn on the printer, then your printer will look for your printhead "Printhead missing or not installed correctly..."
Then put everything back. make sure it will snap in to place. Then print a calibration page, then scan it. This is just over writing the error message.

Hp 3310 error

Please do not go as per the error message you get.
Because the error message means a lot, like the error message you have 0xc18a0201, as per this message the unit has to be replaced (As i have worked with HP i know which error message has to be replaced or can be fixed)
But you can try this steps once. and i would not garauntee to fix your issue, But Better to give a try.
First of all unplug the power cord from the All-In-One from the printers end aswell as the power outlet.
Leave the cable unpluged for atleast 1Min.
Then connect the cable direrctly to wall outlet without the surg protector. and then connect it back to the All-In-One.

If the message is still there.
Press the # and * key in the All-In-One (The Display will say enter special key Combo)
Then press no 1, 2 and three.(The display will give some information) Ignoge the display.
Press the right arrow key till you see System Configuration Menu> Then press “OK.
1. Display should say “Hardware failure status”. If not there already, Arrow Key over to “Hardware failure status”,
2. Press and release the “OK” button.
3. Display should say “Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear”.
4. Press and release the “OK” Button. Message changes to “Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue”.
5. Press and release the “CANCEL” button as many times as necessary, so that, either the “Welcome to Photosmart Express” screen appears, or, the “Ink System Failure” screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
6. Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable from back of the printer and wall outlet.
7. Wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cable into the wall outlet first and then into the back of the printer
8. Turn the unit on. The printer may display message “USE POWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER” followed by “PRESS OK TO CONTINUE”. Press OK.
9. If the printer has already initialized, then go to the next step. If not, the printer will start the “ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS”. Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.
10. To verify printer functionality print a SELF TEST PAGE. If SELF TEST prints, then printer is ready for use or Software Installation.

"PLEASE TRY TIHIS RESET ONLY ONCE"
If ir reoccures replace the unit. you can call HP and get the unit replaced. if it is Warranty.
If not you can also go for a Out Of Warranty Upgrade Option.

I have a cannon mp830 wont print

Solution: Insert one of each color ink tank MP830

New Page 1 More Than One of the Same Ink Tank is Installed When installing or replacing an ink tank, only one of the following ink tanks should be installed. If the ink tank is not installed correctly, an error message will display. mp500_inktankorder.gif
  1. Confirm that the printer is powered on and press the Open button. (The paper output tray will open.)

  2. Lift the scanning unit (printer cover) completely. (The print head will move to the replacement position.)

    Note: When the scanning unit (printer cover) is opened more than ten minutes, the print head moves to the right side. If this occurs, close the scanning unit (printer cover), and open it again.

  3. Open the inner cover.

  4. Press on the tab to release the ink tank, then remove it from its slot. If you are replacing multiple ink tanks, make sure to replace one by one.

  5. Insert the ink tanks into the print head. Note: Press the mark "PUSH" on the ink tank firmly until you hear a click.

  6. Ensure that all the ink tanks are installed properly and the ink tank lamps light red.

    Note: Ink Tank LampYou can check the status of each ink tank according to the way its lamp flashes.
    • - On: The printer is ready to print.
    • - Slow flashing (at about three second interval): Ink is low. Prepare a new ink tank.
    • - Fast flashing (at about one second interval): Ink tank is empty, or the printer is not ready due to an error.
    • - Off: An error has occurred and the printer is not ready to print.

  7. Close the inner cover and the scanning unit (printer cover). Note:

    • When closing the scanning unit (printer cover), be careful not to jam your finger.
    • When starting printing next time, the print head cleaning launches automatically.

No Scan Options Error Message

Pressing of scan button feature is no longer supported by hp drivers, if installed correctly one scans using scanners and fax


When the scan button is pressed on the printer, nothing happens. The scan button does not work correctly. Solution Scan documents using Windows Fax and Scanning or Paint. Scanning with Windows Fax and Scanning
  1. Click the Start (c00845897.gif ) icon.
  2. Click All Programs .
  3. Click Windows Fax and Scanning .
  4. Click New Scan .
  5. Click File and then click Scan .

  5. Click File and then click From Scanner or Camera .

Unable to print

press menu then start mono then 4x arrow-up. machine will be in maintanance mode. what error code does the machine display?

to leave the maintanace mode simply unplug machine from power and reconnect again.

I keep getting the message unable to print see trouble shooting in manual

If trying to Print in Word 2003 - 2002 - 2002

Click on tools > options > Print tab > Uncheck Back Ground Printing. Click on ok. Try Printing.

 

If you are trying to Print from Word 2007.

Click on Office button > Word options > Advanced > Locate Print options and uncheck Backgound Printing click on ok. try Printing
