I have a cub Cadet M60 Hydrostatic zero turn. When I'm steering the left side isn't steering properly all that time and makes a whining nose. What could be causing this problem. I have plenty of hydraulic fluid and only have 30 hours on the mower.

Cub cadet m60-kh the PTO belt keeps jumping off

https://www.partstree.com/parts/cub-cadet/mowers-zero-turn-lawn-mower/m60-kh-53ab5bdx750-cub-cadet-commercial-tank-zero-turn-mower-27-hp-kohler/fabricated-deck-spindle-assembly/

Likely the deck idler pulley is loose or bearings are shot. The pulley should not wobble and the flat side of the belt should ride square against the pulley face (the pulley should be reasonably perpendicular to the deck). If not, the idler arm pivot is loose or the pivot bolt and arm are shot. Check proper tension is applied by idler pulley torsion spring (the belt is not loose).

Left side wont pull or turn after warming up

i guess this is a zero turn model ? sounds like your drive motor on left side is worn out , but look for leaks as well on steering valve for that side

My son was mowing, with our cub cadet 2166, and ran the left front tire into a fence and now the steering wheel wont work. You can turn it and it feels really loose but it isn't connecting to the

Check the two main gears. One at the end of the steering shaft and the other that it contacts. Some brands are adjustable where the large gear is held on by a bolt and an excentric which allows you to move the large gear closer to the smaller gear. This may have been knocked out of place or the gear(s) stripped. Here is a basic diagram of the parts.

Problem with left side hydrostatic transmission

This is a well documented problem with cub cadet ZT transmissions. They tend to go bad after 200 hours of use. Sometimes having the dealer change the transmission oil will help (they need to remove the transmissions to do this!). Most times, the transmission is gone & must be replaced ($800-$900).

Sound to me like a design defect. My ZT-50 lasted only 4 years. Needless to say, the replacement was not a cub cadet.
