Check to see if in the audio settings, if SAP is turned on. If so,turn it off or to the Stereo/main setting.

Look for a button labeled MTS or Multi Channel Audio. This may not be a button, but might be in the Audio Setup menu. Your problem description appears to indicate that you have somehow selected the Secondary Audio Channel, and you need to toggle back to the Main Audio Channel

I have a Ellies aerial and a tedelex tv. We recently moved and now my television doesn't get all the channels (SABC)

It just means that where you are now doesn't have the Over the Air Channels at sufficient strength. Or perhaps you had other channels that came from a different source like cable, satellite, or some type of shared channels like you get in apartments?

My radio won't play tv channel 4 sound or any other! please tell me if im doing something wrong!

Since June of last year all television broadcasting switched over to digital signals. Without a converter your radio will not receive any of the stations sound channels. Impossible to modify, only a converter will bring the stations in.

I have a Visio GV42L HDTV loosing sound on some channels

That's a broadcast signal issue not TV issue. If it was the TV all channels would be the same.

TV won't "talk" with satellite cable

Try to see if you have 5volts for your EEPROM. If the voltage is normal try to replace your EEPROM or try to reprogram it. Your EEPROM is corrupted so that's why it will not store data.

SAP

Hi Suezie,

The problem is most likely your SAP being turned On.

SAP was created for audio programing including translations into a 2nd language. On nearly all sets, the SAP being ON will essentially select an alternate audio stream and will de-select or mute the main audio from the channel your are viewing. However not all TV stations have SAP enabled.

I am the Chief Engineer of a TV station in Denver, CO. We are not using SAP so if you selected SAP while watching my station you would get noise or static. There would not be any audio there.

Go to the front panel of your TV and select the "MENU" function. Step through the menus to Audio features and De-select SAP or Enable your main audio and this should take care of the problem. Alternatively you might be able to unplug your set for a period of time and it would reset itself. I used to get calls from elderly viewers when the set wouldn't pick up the UHF TV stations anymore. These were always after a power failure and the set had defualted to factory settings,

Different set manufacturers use different menu schemes and withou a password feature, these menus are so simple a small child playing with those fascinating buttons can change them for you to something you really don't want.

Good luck and write back if you can't find it. The set manufacturer and model number would help me look up a menu tree for your TV set.

Thak you,
Bernarr Howell
