Water gushes out dispenser

Water gushes out of the dispenser onto the floor. It looks like it won't drain, or at least does so very slowly down the hose in the back to the tub. This causes the dispenser to overflow. Is there a valve or something down that hose that leads to the tub that may be broken?

Something has gotten into the fill tube hose of the tub.  You will need to pull the drawer out and look down in the dispenser assembly to see if there is something blocking the hose.

Water leaking onto floor from underneath unit, instead of into the water reservoir.

It's not unusual for a refrigerator to drip a little water on the floor after you replace the water filter-air trapped in the water dispenser system can make the water dispenser drip enough to overflow the drip tray below the dispenser. You can fix it by streaming a gallon or two of water through the dispenser to eliminate the trapped air.
If water drips on the floor from the back of the refrigerator, a leaking water inlet valve or cracked water system tubing could be the cause. A clogged or cracked defrost drain tube could also cause the leak. Defrost condensate water collects in the drain pan at the bottom of the refrigerator so a cracked or overflowing drain pan can also cause water to drip on the floor behind the refrigerator. Check the drain pan for cracks and clean out any foreign objects that may be inside the drain pan.
Excessive frost caused by a leaking door seal can also cause the defrost drain pan to overflow. Check the door gaskets and replace them if damaged.

We have water leaking slowly from beneath the water/ice dispenser unit in our Amana side by side. It is 2 1/2 years old and this is a new problem.

Hello,

The water is from the melted frost of the defrost cycle. The drain at the bottom of the back wall of the freezer is blocked so instead of the water draining into the pan where it will evaperate,it's pooling on the freezer floor and freezing, in many case when the floor indent is full the water will leak onto the floor.By pulling the refrigerator out from the wall, there will be a tube behind the service panel on the right side when looking at it from the rear, that tube can be removed and cleared, then clear the nozzle it connects to inside the freezer.

I hope this helps you to stop the leak,
Gene

My side by side subzero is leaking water. The water is coming from under the unit and pouring onto my floor. Thinking it may be a loose water connection for the ice maker and water dispenser. I need to...

I just had this problem with my Sub Zero, water leaking on the floor and fixed it. Take out all the bottom drawers and look on the back wall. You will find a drain hose. Boil some water and using a turkey baster force boiling water through the hose till it drains freely. Mine also had a build up of black mold so I also flushed some bleach down tilll the black was gone. Hope this helps!

Water is slowly dripping onto the floor from the bottom of the freezer door. it is as if the door is full of water. any suggestions?

ARe the temperatures good inside the freezer? If they are not near 0° F, that is the cause of the water drip.

If it is nice and cold in freezer, check freezer floor, is there a sheet of ice? you have a clogged defrost drain, clear it or have it cleared for you.

Water seeping through drain spud area of Aprilaire 600 model.

Clean it and dry it thoughly. Apply a small amount of 100 % silcone caulking with you finger. Seal it on both sides. Allow it to dry thoughly before it gets wet or it will leak.

Water gushed out freezer door, possible solenoid problem?

The drain is clogged. The drain is usually located inside the freezer on the bottom shelf to the rear. Use a meat baster and a solution of 1 tsp. baking soda and 2 cups of hot water-not boiling to unclog the drain. You probably also have about 1/2 inch of ice build-up on the bottom shelf. This will have to be removed first.
