- Make sure you have been installed JVC driver on your PC - If your PC has multi ports USB, just try other ports to make connection - check your firewire, it may be malfunctioned . Try other USB cables

The problem is caused by you connecting the printer before the software asks you to.

Uninstall all HP software, restart the PC and start again. Do NOT connect the printer until the install prog tells you to.

Hi,

Disconnect the power cord from back of printer
Disconnect the USB cable from PC
Turn off your PC
Disconnect the power cord from wall outlet
wait for 10 minutes
Reconnect the PC Power cables
Power on the PC
When you see the PC desktop
Re-connect the Power cable to printer
Re-connect the USB cable of Printer to PC

This should resolve your issue

check your USB cable if it is a usb connection?

also check the pc usb point.

swap power cables?

have installed the correct printer drivers?

is the printer switched ON?

Usb device not recognised

HI,

Is this the first time you connect your printer on that computer? This can be the USB port does not support a 2.0, or your data cable/printer cable is damage.

This problem's caused by the usb cable which is may be long enough or ordinary brand. so change usb cable is solution of your problem

1)right click the my computer icon
2)click properties and then click hardware n go to device manager.
3)uninstall all usb ports and then scan for hardware changes
4)ur pc will detect your printer and ask for printer drivers
5)re load drivers and your pc will communicate with your printer
6)for reloding install the cd follow the instructions on the screen and click next
7)restart when the printer is loded.connect the wires and cords properly

Having trouble installing HP Photosmart All in One Printer. Model C5280. Near the end of installation it ask's for printer to be connected via USB cable. Msg comes up on screen 'USB Device not recognized'...

Dear Sir:

It seems that the printer has gone bad because when you get this message 'USB Device not recognized' it means that the usb device connected to the computer is defective however I would suggest you to connect this device to another computer and if you are getting the same error with the other computer.

Please contact hp support they should be able to help you with this.

Simplest thing to try is another USB cable. Still not working, then problem could be in the USB connector on printer.

Possible it could be a conflict with another connected USB device. Try unplugging all USB devices and wait for the PC to drop those connections. You can see these in the Device Manager. Then plug in just the printer.

You just need to update your USB drivers- if that doesnt fix it- then it's the USB port. Have any other USB ports? Stick it in another one. I doubt its the mp3 player. just try updating the drivers or re-installing them.
