Don't worry , you did everthing right.
What's wrong is pin 428 under the G.P.U
has unsoldered itself and killed the video.

There are many D.I.Y. fixes for this problem.
It's called a standerd X clamp mod ( on the G.P.U.
only). this will get your picture back.
hard to say for how long ,2-9 months.

Or you can have a repair shop re-flow the
G.P.U. for around 80.00 .that fix will last longer.

You bought a new Xbox ,same problem.
Plug the unit in to another tv . Replace the
a/v cable , if still no picture then take it back
and get replacement.

When I turn my Xbox 360 on the screen goes fuzzy and black. the sound still works but there is no picture.

try unplugging the A/V jacks. make sure they are not messed with or bent/broken. blow in the inputs in both your tv and 360. if that doesnt work id try buying a new pair of plugs and trying them out. of that doesnt work then its your 360 probably.

No picture yet i can hear sound green effect before it happend

First thing would be to make sure that you're only using the yellow, red, and white cables, but seeing as how you said you had picture before, I'm guessing that's not the problem. The 360 uses an automatic recognition for the hardware to make sure that it is set to the right input. So, in essence, it won't be that the settings were changed. I would say go pick up a new cable and see if that's the problem, it sounds like it is. If the cable doesn't solve it then I would say it's time to call Microsoft. For the guest with nothing working, call up Microsoft, I really don't know what else the problem could be except for hardware.

I have SOUND but no PICTURE

Check the AV plugs those are the red white and yellow plugs make sure that the yellow is plugged into the yellow circle on your tv and red to red and white to white, unless your on hdtv. if there plugged in make sure it is on the right channel probably 3 or 4 if those dont work change it to video mode or input mode.

When i connect my 360 to my tv i only get sound and a flashing screen. why?

Maybe it's a bad video port on your TV. Try hooking it up on another video port on the TV. I've had this same problem because the front video port on my TV was bad. I hooked it up in the back port of the TV and it worked.

The problem is probably that you have put the cords in the wrong places or have used the wrong cords

YPbPr inputs not working

Tacz, What video input# on the back of the TV is your component video?? Are you sure the TV is set to look at that video input#??? You may be looking at one of the composite video inputs as far as the TV is concerned and with nothing plugged in to that input the TV would naturally give the error message you indicated. Let me know.. Bill
