What does the sud code mean? - Kenmore Elite HE4 Electric Dryer

F22 is a low dram code. SUD means high suds. Most likely there's junk (coins, dirt, gunk, Bobby pins, etc.) Jammed in the sump.

A code of "SD" indicates the washer has entered its "Suds Routine." That happens when an excessive amount of suds is detected in your washer, and the machine changes operation to remove the suds for proper rinsing of your load. The code will clear itself once the "Suds Routine" has finished.

If it keeps doing this each load, try lightening up on the detergent.

CODE SYMBOL = 5Ud5
MEANING = Too many suds are detected during the washing session.
The unit is put on hold until the suds are reduced. Then, the unit will go back to the operation.
When it finishes washing, End and SUdS codes will blink in turn
SOLUTION = To prevent it, cut down on detergents.

The F2 error codes means LONG DRAIN TIME and the suds code the washer detected water in tub after normal alloted drain time...so basically the F2&SUDS means the same thing. A lot of times when it does not drain fast enough,its caused by a blocked filter on the pump being biult up with debris. This tip i wrote will show ya how to clean the pump filter.

An error code reading "F" indicates an electrical problem and "SUD" means that the "suds routine" to eliminate excess sudsing has been activated. The washer should restart once extra suds have been removed. Water and drainage problems usually mean you should check the hoses for any kinks or obstructions, according to the owner's manual.

An "F" code may require you to drain and start a spin cycle to drain the washer of excessive water.

5D actually means suds, make sure you aren't using normal detergant as these units require 'HE or High Efficiency' detergant that doesn't suds much. Try runing a load with not clothes and just put in a cup of white vinegar to remove all the suds in the machine and see if goes through spin with no suds in. If not and you still get an error you will need to replace the pressure switch because it thinks there is water or suds in the machine it's not removing.

5d is actually SD
it means SUDS
you have suds detected in the pump
Your using too much soap and the machine cannot rinse it
try one load with out any soap
from that load on you should not be using any more that a table spoon per load

SUDS LOCK:
The motor controller senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive
motor. If a potential suds lock is detected, the control tries up to 3 times to clean out the unit
with a mini-cycle. See Use and Care Guide for more information.
“SL” is displayed if suds are detected but the unit is unable to clean out suds. This may
indicate a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent or excessive suds.

Are you using HE detergent (for all front load washers ) or regular detergent ? SUD means suds lock from regular detergent .

Sud means you using to much soap and the f code means soap is locking the drain pump up and wont allow unit to drain and spin.
