The owner's manual that was sold with it should guide you. If it's missing, get a good hand-lens. Take the watch under a good source of light, and aim the hand-lens to the edges of the watch. You should see 12/24hr button. Press the button once. The time should change from military. If it doesn't , press and hold the shortest button for about 5-seconds. Then press the button that is marked 12/24HR.

My timex indiglo Ironman triathlon watchhas twelve hours of military time and then twelve hours of regullar time. HOW CAN I GET RID OF THE MILITARY TIME AND GET ALL TWENTY FOUR HOURS OF REGULAR TIME???...
Actually all the hours are military time. They are the same for the first twelve hours of the day. If you go through the setting procedure it will ask you if you want "12" or "24" hour time. Select 12. "24" is military

After much frustration, I found the solution...
Push the set button while on time mode. Push mode until the hour is flashing.Push Split/Reset.
That should be your solution!

Time confusion
Possibly you can change it back by pushing the hour-setting button through a 24 hour cycle--you can see if you are on military time during the PM part of setting it. If it's on military, just keep pushing till you start over at 12 am again (hint: that's 0:00 in military.) At least, that's how it is on my watch.

How do I get my Timex WR50M watch out of the 24 hour (military) time and back to a 12 hour clock?
Hold down the adjust button bottom right then press the mode button top left you will notice the a or p that stands for am/pm will disappear & reappear. If you have an a or p on your display then you are out of military time.

Timex Mid Size Sports 1440 WR50M
If your set up is: Top-Left=Indiglo Top-Right=St./Stop Bottom-Left=Mode Bottom-Right=Lap/Reset

Than follow these steps:
1. Press Lap/Reset and hold. You should see the time the alarm was set for.
2. While holding Lap/Reset, press Mode.
3. Let go of all buttons.
4. There you go!
