My monitor(1504FP) only work for 4 seconds after you turn it on, Then it goes blank.so just to use it I have to constanly turn it on and off every 4 seconds. Ive used the blue cord on another comuter and monitor and it worked. I also used the cord and comuter with a different monitor and thay worked. so its deffenetly somthiong going on with moniter . You monitor needs capacitors or a capacitor and maybe a bulb that is not to hard for a tech ,but depending on the size and scope of the monitor i would just buy a new one

There are two versions of the power supply/inverter PCB assembly, you need to look inside to see if it has any bad caps with bulging tops first, then post back so we can guide you further.
Sounds like either there is a bad connection from the computer to the monitor, or the monitor has a faulty power regulator, causing the monitor to overheat prematurely, and shut off.
Are you sure that your problem is with the monitor drivers? Usually when graphics card drivers are correctly installed, the monitor is recognized as "Plug and Play monitor" and this is completely sufficient, as the monitor is able to communicate it's supported resolutions and refresh frequencies to the video card. Look for an updated graphics driver for your system - first you have to establish what type of graphics card you have, then find drivers for it.
could be hardware failure but i would try buttons on front of monitor first. notice, usually green led on monitor is green, if it goes to amber, you are loosing sync pulse.
The monitor you have has bad components on the circuit boards inside. This is a classic problem with all LCD monitors. I rebuild them on a daily basis so I recognize the symptoms. I would suggest finding someone who can do component level repair on the circuit boards inside. I also suggest not trying to repair yourself as there are many breakable components to them as well as components inside that do not like static electricity discharges.
Monitor is bad for sure. Try another known good monitor on your computer and if the problem stops then you know for sure the original monitor is bad. Hope this helps.
YOU NEED TO HAVE THE INVERTER BOARD REPLACED. YOU CAN USUALLY FIN THEM ON E BAY OR YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT IN IF YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE REPLACING IT YOURSELF.
Beautiful screen, lasts about for a few minutes, goes black. Power button still green. If I turn it off, and then back on, it works again for a while. Any ideas?
well friend if the fuse is the problem, you will not see any power light indicator. probably theres a problem in power supply circuits or most probably the horizontal deflection circuits. which includes the horizontal oscillator, horizontal drive, horizontal output and maybe the flyback itself. but if you dont know anything about this, better bring it to a qualified tv technician. good luck!
