HP Deskjet F4200 All-in-One Printer series - Download drivers
On HP page select model, select OS and follow instruction to download the driver file.
Keep the printer USB disconnected, and run the setup. Connect printer when prompted by setup program.
Go to hp driver download site and enter your printer model number, it will give you the software that you need

Go to this link and choose your Operating System, then download the appropriate driver. FWIW, I would choose the smallest driver available, so you don't get all of HP's extra (mostly useless) software.

Go to http://www.hp.com/sbso/bussupport.html and enter "deskjet 5740", enter your operating system and you will get the proper install file(s)

If you have the internet when you install the printer windows should automatically look for updates on it...if not you can always good to hp.com and find the drivers for it...or google search hp deskjet 3520 drivers.
