My nokia 6681 fell in the water and is not turning on.all my contact details are stored in it.i cannot retrieve them as the phone is not turning on.please help immediately

You can do a master reset to your Nokia mobile. This could restore your phone with default factory settings. Get the master reset code from any Nokia store.

Dear friend, you need a flashing box, such as JAF, UFS, BB5 or MT..
Connect mobile with box, and do Factory Setting and format user area... 100% ok

Try to connect to computer then try to get the contacts ..

Ronak, in order to get out of a situation like this, u you need to reset your phone. To do this, you should set your phone back to the factory settings. That option is found in the settings menu in most of the nokia phones.

But be aware that you will lose al the info stored in the phone. So be careful about that.

You should be able to take to your cellular provider in store location,. Ask then to transfer your contacts to one of thier phones remporarily or one of your old phones, Then you can access your contacts until you get a new phone

First a comment - my 2 yr/old threw one of my Nokia phones into our pool a few years ago - I took the battery off and let it dry and it powered up just fine - I replaced the phone to be sure I had continued coverage but for the moment DON'T PANIC!

Log in to your service provider and print your most recent calls - you will likely remember who you called or who called you so you at least have some back up information.

I assume your phone service provider is AT&T - unfortunately your phone is not supported by their wireless backup program - a program that costs about $2.00 a month and auto syncs your contacts to a database on line. Make sure you select a phone that is compatible and subscribe to the wireless back up plan when you replace your phone - the $24 year is well worth the extra assurance!

try resetting your phone with *#7370#...it may be a corruption to your phone settings. make a backup of your phone memory before going ahead with the code as it would delete all user details (phonebook, messages, calendar, notes, etc) stored on your phone memory.
