CHEC I DON'T HAVE INTERNET SERVICE WHEN THE DI-524IS CONNECTED TO THE MODEM (WHICH IS TIME WARNER CABLE-ARRIS ) . THE PAGE SAY DNS ERROR OR CAN NOT FIND SERVER. MY ROUTER IS 2 Y. OLD . PLS HELP . I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!

The configuration between the modem and your computer requires digital switching via code settings. Check you manual for the proper communication settings.

Unplug the ISP modem completely, power, and cable. There might be a recycle (a quick push) on the modem as well. Some modems have a battery backup and will stay lit, if not connect the power, reboot and then connect the cable. The modem may take a while to fully reload after reconnecting. Then do the same with the router. Only do a quick push. Holding it in will clear custom settings on the router.

You should have green on both the modem and the router now. If not you have this to inform the ISP of your troubleshooting. GL

You may have to reset the modem and start over with the new service provider network.

do you have dsl filter where the phone line comes out of the wall and goes into the Router.

That won't work because your old sbc wireless router 2wire gateway is also a modem. You need a plain router for Time Warner. Try Linksys router.

Does your laptop have wireless access?
You may have to buy a wireless chip for your laptop, Give me a little more information on your error you get.
Also tell me how your router is setup, and cord placement.

Might I suggest that you reset the router to its default configuration by pressing and holding the reset button until it reboots. This way you will be dealing with the default configuration. Then try to use it. Remember the default login ID is admin and the password is Password or admin. Lets hope this helps
