During a recent move of offices, the manual for our Brother Intellifax 1360 was lost. The Upload feature below does not seem to work in our environment. Can we get a replacement paper copy? Thank you.

Hi there,
There is no option to turn off the ECM on Brother Intellifax 2820 , just set the compatibility to Basic so that the ECM feature will not be available. Just press Menu 201. Press down or up arrow key to select Basic.Press Menu/set and then Stop/exit.

1 line is fine as long as the fax is set to auto recieve mode

Fax machines are designed to have their own dedicated phone line.

Sounds as if you do not have power to the unit.
Did you try another outlet?
Do you get and noise, if the unit is trying to inialize?
(basic questions ,but need to know to try to figure this out.)
