Do you have Adobe software or another PDF viewer? Perhaps that is the problem. You can try to open the manual by clicking the link from the software that you installed on your computer for the phone. It opens using Internet Explorer with an Adobe PDF viewer plug-in.

I keep haven't problems too, I think microsoft has updated the security on Msn and you can't run 8.1 or 8.5 versions any more. Vtech has to come out with a fix for this. Send them an email and bug them for it. Otherwise we all have a good door stop. I am starting a Yahoo group for this phone. Hopefully we can all meet there to discuss issues and fixes with this phone.

try downgrading your msn im using 8.1 and it works fine

This phone is a great idea but that is where it ends it will NOT work with IM above version 8.5, so thats just about any version in the last year.

It seems that a lot of people are having this problem, I'm sure that it's something wrong with the phone itself, but you can always update the phone's software from it's website as the update feature on the software does not seem to work, and update your IM software whether or not you are using MSN or AOL messenger. :)

Perhaps it is a problem with the phone itself... Try exchanging it if you still have the receipt.
