long press the power button and the volume button together for over ten seconds. and it will ask you if you want to flash the device or not. and you can flash the device.
There has been a problem with the latest Sony update that unfortunately is causing people to be unable to log into thier Playstation Network accounts. Sony are working hard on a fix and will hopefully have it sorted very soon.
If you are trying to hook up a bluetooth headset or remote, or keyboard, go to accessories and then go to register bluetooth device. Choose what you are trying to hook up, remote, headset, or keyboard. Then turn on the device as it should say in the instructions for hooking it up. Then the PS3 should say that it is scanning for bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth device should show up and then you select it and push X, and you should be good. I just hooked up a bluetooth headset and it works fine.
Yeah you can, Go to Bestbuy and ask someone from geeksquad to give you a "bluetooth device" or something you can use to sync your ps3 to your computer, or simply connect wirelessly to the connection from your ps3!
You need to tell the PS3 that you are now using the new video method. It is still trying to output video on the yellow cable, not the component. If you go to settings>video and tell it to use component, and then switch the cables real quick, it should work.
An easier solution is to do a backup from the system menu, then a "restore" (quick restore is fine), and then power it off, hook up the new cable, and it will detect the video method when it turns on for the "first" time (since the restore).
You do have component input on your TV, and that is the input you are on when you are trying this, yes?
