Microphones are the most handled object with a CB radio and this is where it is most likely to find the problems. Basically a Galaxy radio in a base station box, and 3 out of ten develop problems, mostly power supply problems. I would suspect the mic first. Best way is to use a different mic and see if the problem goes away. Next try the radio on an external DC supply or battery. Let me know what happens from there..... [email protected]
For ham use which that DX model is for. the FM is preset and cannot be changed with adjustments. SSB andAM can be changed. But from factory should be good settings for amateur use.
