My cameras screen is constantly black, i cant see any of the pictures i am taking.
This sounds like a defective Sony CCD issue. If so, Sony will fix your Minolta camera for free (with free shipping) regardless of warranty. You need to do this before March 31, 2008 so get going! See this link:

Yes I had the same problem with my Dimage X20. Last December I followed your suggestion to send it to an authorized Sony Service Center.
True enough they did replaced my CCD but charged me with labor cost of almost 1000 pesos. Is this legal? because I thought the defective part is to be replaced at no cost at all to its consumer. Please advice. Thanks
