My Olympus x-42 12 megapixel camera. Flash broken?
My Olympus x-42 12 megapixel camera is sometimes refusing to take pictures. The flash is not going off when required. There is a flashing red arrow on the right hand side of the screen.
Re: My Olympus x-42 12 megapixel camera. Flash broken?
My new camera seems to be eating away at my batteries. I have only had it since xmas and already have been through about 20 batteries. Is my camera faulty?

"P" mode in most digital cameras is, "Program", meaning that it's really kind of manual. Attempting to shoot flash in this mode is likely to be difficult. Suggest "A", or "Automatic" mode.
Yes you can the easiest way is to plug a usb flash drive "at least 1GB" into your xbox 360 find it on settings tab >Storage... format it if it isn't already when it is formated remove from xbox 360 plug both usb flash drive and camera into pc/laptop then copy photos from camera onto usb flash drive. after your finished remove usb flash drive put it back into xbox 360 and you can move them to or from any formatted storage device including you hard drive
all depends on the number of megapixels and if the camera has a flash . WITHOUT FLASH IT WILL NOT BE CLEAR because of insufficient lighting.Higher the megapixel the clearer the picture will be.
If you are in a low lit area with the camera dial set to Auto the flash will do a strobing type of flash trying to help allow more light into the scene. This is called the AF illuminator function. To just go ahead and take the image, put the camera dial to P (program Auto) go to Menu - go to Wrench 1 tab - then right arrow over and then down arrow to AF Illum - right arrow and turn this function from On to Off and then take the image in the P mode setting. No flash flicker should occur.
Just hit the flash mode button until the get the lightning bolt symbol meaning constant flash. I use this all the time on the same camera for a backlit subject when I need a fill flash

Yes the flash element could have burned out, or if you droped the camera it could have been damaged depending on the way it hit the ground.
Sorry but I do not know how you would go about fixing it.
Good Luck! I hope you get it fixed!!
by dropping you can damage the charging circuit of the flash unit. flash tube is the later part. it seems that the charging circuit of the camera is not working thus it hangs the camera when flash is switched on.
