Question about Reddy Heater-170,000 BTU Kerosene Deluxe

My reddy heater R115DT turns on for a few minutes, runs fine then shuts off, then i turn it off and turn it on again, it runs and it shuts off? why and how do i fix it?

bearings in the motor are tight, try oiling the bearings and let me know,

Reddy Heater Pro 100: plug in, fan turns on, blows out small amounts of unburned fuel and then fan shut off. What could be the problem?

Thanks for providing the model of your heater. Most folks don't.

Your heater has a photocell eye and a computer board (ignition control). This team monitors the flame. If the team does not like the color of the flame then they shut the heater down and that is the situation you are in. Now, you must troubleshoot & find the problem. Is it water in the fuel, incorrect air pump pressure, worn nozzle, cracked plastic cover, etc.

Here is a link to your owner's manual... http://12.153.20.74/manuals/123919-01A.PDF. Look on page 8 and 10. It could be several things. It could only be a dirty fuel filter or the pump pressure may just need adjustment. Kerosene Portable Forced Air heater comes on, runs awhile

The unit should have a fuel & air filter. Check that both are clear. Inside the burner tube, there will be a photo-cell, if the lense is dirty it will shut the flame off. The photo-cell needs to see the flame. You can carefully and gently, clean the lens with a tissue, soft cloth, or Q-tip. Please let me know how its coming along.

Motor Running backwards.

flip ur wires on motors. just reverse ur polarity.

Troubleshooting reddy heater 115,000btu

Remove the nozzle and clean it. Clean the photo cell also. Check the fuel pump pressure it should be 5.1 #.
