My washer was working fine then all the sudden the water runs constantly while it its filling. It goes up so far then drains. It never agitates or spins unless I manually move the dial to that

  • drdugdog Oct 19, 2009

the last guy said it was the water level sensor. The guy before that said it can't be fixed. I can find no water level sensor on the parts sites. Could it be the water level pressure switch? Repair CLinic has that part.

my washer will fill with water but then skip the next couple cycles and then drain at the last cycle. the timer moves all the way through to the end.

Water level sensor is faulty. You can get parts and manual at repairclinic.com

  • Anonymous Oct 19, 2009

If you do not have water level sensor, then you have the level pressure switch, which would be your best bet. It is fixable, even if you have to go all the way down to a control board if necessary, but most probable cause is the pressure switch. try repairclinic.com for parts and manual if needed

I am only advising from my own experience. I have spent a lot of money on these thing's to repair them. I replaced all the simple thing's.The dial should turn automaticly so when you need to turn it by hand then it's just worn as I explained before. This is only my experience and oppinion. I am a car mecanic but have tried to sort one of these and like yourself. I went to the part's shop and asked what the problem most likely was. I was told it most likely the dial but I could'nt find anything the matter with it and thought they just wanted to sell me a new washer. I then replaced everything I thought would sort the problem and eventually gave in and bought a new one.

Admiral washing machine will not fill up with water on any wash cycle. However it will fill up on any rinse cycle. What could be the problem?

Hi,

please power cycle your washer (ie restart via power outlet unplug and re-plug). After this, please rotate the dial 90 degrees counter-clockwise before attempting another wash . All of these actions to help reset/undo any issues with the washer. Otherwise, you might need to schedule a home diagnosis/repair.

Thank you.

Cold water won't stop before rinse cycle

if it fails to stop running only at the rinse part of the cycle it is probably in the timer as the solenoid valve has to cut the water off when the washer fills for the wash cycle too. fills for wash cycle and cuts off water, washes and drains, refills for rinse cycle and water just keeps running? does this every time you run it? that's in the timer. bad solenoid (water inlet valve) would keep running even on wash fill up. hope this helps.

Hot/cold cycle stops before filling up

Your washer has a set amount of time to fill. If the flow is low and the time runs out, then all you will get is the amount of water that was able to fill. Check your lines to be sure that they all fully opened.

Washer fills up only half way but water keeps trying to fill tub

That is because the water level switch get stuck when water level reaches that particular point.

The water level switch is activated either by a floater sensor or by a membrane sensor that detects water pressure/volume, depending on the model.
On washing machines it is usually a membrane switch, and that is faulty on your machine.

Doesn't fill all the way

the solution to the problem was....a few days before we noticed the washer was not filling all the way, the plumber had come over to clear our pipe, because it was not draining. He had tightened the clamp we were using to keep the pipe in place too tightly, it was air tight and it was creating a vacuum and siphoning the water out when it got to a certain level. We took the clamp off since there was no longer a need for it and the washer fills up and drains as it should.

Have an Admiral AAV8000 that does not stop

Sounds like you have a mechanical failure and the timer keeps advancing because the cam contact for the timer motor has to be manually shut down. Your timer is part 21001929
