Will power up only after the power cord unplugged and plugged back in to the outlet. Then shuts back off again. CT-36HL42CF.

High voltage too high going into xray protection. Check the collector of the horizontal output transistor for 130v dc.

Tv won't turn on at all

no remote but tv was working with front power key? unplug from ac outlet and plug back and listen for any type of indication (noise or chirp) that something energizes inside if theres nothing then suspect a power supply problem, main fuse blown, shorted low volt rectifiers other components could be at fault.

Panasonic CT-32g19j

check The B+ of your tv. If no b+ Check the input AC voltage. If Ac i/p are ok but no B+ Volt maybe your IC in power supply has problem.

Front cover removal on Panasonic CT-36HL42C

You have to remove the entire rear case to access the video input(s) panel. There are quite a few screws. Be careful when removing the case because there is an internal wire connected from the inside back of enclosure to the main power board.

Hello, My Panasonic ct-36HL44 won't turn on. It's complestely dead. Yesterday and for the last 4 years---its been perfect, completely reliable. What happened? Is there a fuse inside the chassis and can I...

I had the exact same problem with this model a few months ago. Repairman came out to my house and told me that Panasonic is well aware of the problem but never issued a recall on it. He then charged me $150 to take off the back of the tv and replace a blown fuse with another fuse with a slightly higher voltage rating. Took him all of 5 minutes. He took off back of tv and the fuse is located, if you are standing at the back of the tv, on the bottom in the left hand corner. You can't miss it. I wish I could tell you which fuse he put in but I didnt see it. Sorry. Try it for yourself and you might be able to save $149.50, b/c I doubt that fuse cost much more then 50 cents. Good luck.

No power

There is a 6 AMP 125 Volt fuse on the main power board. My CT-36HL42 would not power on so I replaced the fuse and it works.
