By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order or print reservation that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.

There is an A/C adapter which is recommended for use with the D-535 Zoom Camera. The model is E-7AU. Use this 110V/120V AC Adapter to conserve batteries when downloading to your computer, for extended work in a studio, during printing, or while viewing images while connected to your TV or VCR. You can purchase this through the Olympus Emporium at https://emporium.olympus.com/ or 1-800-201-7766. The Olympus stock number is 200751.
The D-535Z uses two AA batteries, and Olympus includes alkalines in the box. Unfortunately those won't last long and will end up in the trash. So I recommend buying a four pack of NiMH rechargeables (plus a charger), which gives you a set for the camera plus a spare. Unfortunately Olympus doesn't publish any battery life statistics for the D-535, so I can't give you any exact numbers.
It depends a lot on how much you use the flash and LCD screen. Don't leave the screen on all the time, use it sparingly and you should find an increase in shot numbers.
