There was a paper jam. The office personell got the paper out but the copier still says there is a paper jam. It instructs to move the platen to the left. When you do that it then tells you to Open the cartridge panel. You do that and it stops there. I've removed the cartridge and tehre is nothing. I've looked all over and there is nothing.
I know there are codes that you can punch in to reset or see what is happening with a machine. Does anyone know where I can get a list of these codes?

On the slide there is a handle. This releases the top reader port of the copier, move it to the left. Raise right side cover and remove the drum cartridge unit. You should see the jammed paper there, at the right lower access door, or in the fuser where the paper should come out. Just reverse the procedure to reset the jam. If the copier still indicates the jam then it must be in the fuser. You will have to have a technician remove the fuser assembly from the copier and take apart the unit to remove the jam. Hope this helps.
There may still be a small sliver of paper somewhere along the paper path. It only takes one small piece to interfere with the mechanism that detects jams and causes the copier to stop working. Since the copier gives you an indication of where the jam is occurring, I would focus my attention in that area, removing trays, using a small flashlight to get a really good look inside.
hello, remove all covers arond the exit area lift cart door, control panel screw ,slide left, remove glass.holes in top under glass and under control panel, slide top to left, look down into holes to see screws holding fuser in.three connectors slide out exit side ,carefully dissasemble fuser to remove jam.i replace at least one unit a week.do use sharp objects
