Replacement parts needed for old Magic Chef 'Chateau'

Can I purchase replacement parts for Magic Chef 'Chateau' Gas Range -- burner assemblies, valves, and knobs?

Cannot read model @ any longer. Has four burners, two ovens, broiler, clock, timer, convenience outlet.

Valves sticky, worn, unreliable. Knobs broken and unusable; using pliers to turn on and off. Burners also need replacement.

Owner's manual printed in 1967.

Want to repair instead of replace; any help would be wonderful. TIA.

Electric spark will not work, burners will not light

The spark electrode sends a spark to ignite the gas in the burner assembly. If the spark electrode is defective or worn out, it might not produce a spark, or the spark might be too weak to ignite the gas. As a result, the spark electrode will make a clicking sound when the burner is turned on, but the burner won't light. If the spark electrode is defective, replace it.

Magic chef gas range top burners will not stay light

This problem is almost always due to a defective gas valve. If you decide to replace the part yourself remember safety 1st, turn off the gas and disconnect power to the range.

Where would I look to get replacement broiler element for an electric Magic Chef Chateau over and under oven model 251v-2cw. It's in great shape other than just blowing this element.

Is the model number listed 251v-2CW that of the Oven or the part # of the element? That number is not showing up as either as a proper model #. Can you double check the Oven's Model # and list the Serial Number as well?

Magic Chef Gas Oven - Heats up slowly and has intermittent gas smell

STOP USING THE OVEN IMMEDIATELY!!! You are not getting enough air to the burners to burn all the fuel. Not only will you have an explosion hazard, you'll have a carbon monoxide hazard either of which will KILL YOU. Read all of the info below before you begin.

You need to clean all the burners and inlets thoroughly. You probably used the oven for a lot of broiling of meats or it is quite old. The deposits are clogging the tubes which gauge the amount of air entering the burners or the burner holes themselves. The burner tubes are generally removable by removing one screw and giggling the units clear. Before taking anything apart, note carefully the positions of any mix plates and scribe small marks between the two surfaces. Use a heavy duty cleaner or WD-40 to loosen grime. Don't use abrasives like Comet. Then wash in mild detergent with hot water and dry. Be sure all burner openings are clear. After assembly, note the color of the flames. They should be about 90% blue along their length from the burner head. If they are not, you didn't finish the job cleanly or you have another problem. If the burners are old, rusty or have irregularly shaped flame holes, replace them.
