What makes 511-cpu fan not detected and 512-chassis not detected

Are you seeing this error on a system you built or a pre-built system? If it is a pre-built system, check that the fans are running. Next check where the fans are plugged in, the CPU fan must be connected to the CPU fan connector on your motherboard. The chassis (rear case fan) only needs to be connected to the motherboard if you want the monitoring/PWM (modulated fan speed) option. If your CPU fan is powered directly from the power supply, change this.

If this is a system you built or recently updated the case, check your fan power connections, as above. Next check the fan speed. My ASUS board will give the "CPU fan not detected" error if the CPU fan speed is too slow. A different CPU fan will solve the problem. (I got my fan with the CPU; it works fine.)

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with more information about your system for more assistance.

My laptop keeps turning off

Overheating When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

White Screen - Unable to See Desktop GUI.

Two separate problems, sounded like..

White screen? If external video is okay then it's likely (1) a bad screen, or (2) a disconnected video cable.

If the system shuts down, I'd check the fan - if the fan is reasonably clean and running, then it's probably a bad motherboard.

Integral ide external HDD reader - blue light wont stop flashing, and wont read all data - any ideas

Hello,

First of all make sure that the USB port that you are using to connect it to your PC is a USB 2.0 port, and not USB 1.0.

Also if it came with an external power, connect it to the external power before putting on your PC.

This is because the voltage supplied by USB 1.0 is lower than that of USB 2.0 and therefore might not be enough to power up your USB Drive.

After making sure about this, power up your system, and plug the external drive, then Right-Click on my computer icon, select manage, then go to Disk Management Option.

On the Disk management option Page you should see ALL the drives installed on your system, including the hidden ones, so what you will just do is, try and locate the one representing your external drive, and right click on it. then select "Change Drive letter and Paths", and give the drive any new, unique letter (i.e alphabet) different from the ones already on your system, and click on OK.

This should make your external Drive to be detected automatically.

Hope this helps you out.
Goodluck!
