Not likely. Assuming you have tried adjusting the temperature control, a more likely suspect would be a problematic evaporator fan. This fan is located (usually behind an access panel) in the freezer. Its purpose is to move cold air throughout the freezer and the refrigerator. If the fan fails, there may be enough cold air to keep the freezer cold; but there is not enough to keep the refrigerator at the proper temperature.

If the fan is running, you should be able to hear it. If you can't, open the access panel and look at it. If it's not turning, you likely need to replace the fan motor.

SOURCE: WHIRLPOOL CB18M FRIDGE FREEZER

3 things to check. If you didn't adjust the damer from the freezer to the refrigerator, like closed it off. Is the freezer fan running? The fan blows air from the freezer to the refrigerator section. Some fans shut off when the door is open so you may have to push in the door switch to check this out.
Look for ice on the back wall, of the freezer section, If present then the defrost cycle is not working. The evap. coil is icing up and there is no air blowing into the refrigerator. Set the thermostat back to the normal setting it just causes a longer run time on the freezer section.

SOURCE: top of fridge warm but bottom freezer working ok

there is also a fan in the freezer compartment which if broken will cause this problem. you need to check that both fans are working. please refer to other fridge posts here re repairing/ replacing the freezer fan- there is a document here which shows you exactly what you need to do. important thing is to switch off the appliance first and leave the freezer door open for about 20 minutes before attempting to remove the back cover ie let it warm up first, so that you don't break any of the panels.

SOURCE: GE Fridge, Compressor not getting power from mother board

I asked that because in most cases, when it is a problem in a motherboard, it is likely a power surge or lightening. I can also tell you that when it comes to mother boards and component level, likelihood, it isn't transistors or anything unless it smells or looks burned. Most shops would just replace the motherboard and ship it as repaired becaue the cost of the IC isn't worth the possibility of something in another IC on the same board knocking iit out again. Short of plug and play, you have no real way of proving this board good/bad. You might try EBAY with your model number to see if you get lucky. I just got rid of an electronic stove because the control board went bad. New board was $150 with a possibility of it going out in 6 months. As I am not made of money, I now have a gas stove. I you could, please rate this as a fixya as I am just being honest and saving you time and aggrivation. Good luck

SOURCE: fridge is warm even when i adjust temp. control.freezer is good.

if your fridge has 2 set of dials one numbers and the other letters than you need to adjust the dial that has letters on it. If the fan in your freezer is not blowing, then it won't force the cold air from the freezer to the fridge. Make sure fan blows then adjust the letter knob.

It could be the servo on the diverter door, but it's most likely to be the main control board. Sorry.

Amana fridge freezer AS2628HEKB fridge warm & freezer frosty inside

The board should be replaced before the unit will operate properly. Be sure to check out all circuits to make sure there is not some kind of short. If there is, it may burn out the new board also.

GE Profile Refridgerator side warm, freezer ok?

Fridge gets cold air from freezer to cool it. Your freezer is fine but not enough cold air is getting into fridge compartment. U have some dampers or louvers that direct air flow to fridge and if they are not set properly cooling will not be adequate. Check those out.

Zanussi ZX97/5SI fridge/freezer. Fridge part no longer keeps cool, freezer fine. Somehow not keeping temperature.

If the fridge part of your Zanussi ZX97/5SI fridge/freezer is no longer keeping cool, while the freezer part is still working fine, there could be a few possible causes:
  1. Thermostat malfunction: The thermostat controls the temperature inside the fridge. If it is malfunctioning, it may not be able to maintain the correct temperature, causing the fridge to get warm.
  2. Air circulation problem: If the air is not circulating properly inside the fridge, it may not be able to maintain the correct temperature. This could be caused by a dirty or blocked air vent, a malfunctioning fan motor, or a problem with the door seal.
  3. Evaporator coils are iced up: The evaporator coils are responsible for removing heat from the fridge. If they become iced up, they will not be able to function properly, causing the fridge to get warm.
  4. Compressor issue: The compressor is responsible for pumping refrigerant through the cooling system. If the compressor is not working properly, it may not be able to pump refrigerant through the system, causing the fridge to get warm.
  5. A malfunctioning control board: The control board is responsible for managing the functions of the refrigerator, if it's malfunctioning it may cause the fridge not to maintain the correct temperature.

Freezer fine, refriderator is warm

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it'll the board.

Part 49 in this DIAGRAM is your air duct.

Warm fridge

If this Amana has digital display at top in fridge more than likely the Jazzboard (control board) has failed. Check for votage at fan if you don't get any or some times if you do the Jazzboard can still have issues controling the evap.fan. I've found the Jazz board to go bad some times. Hit me back let me know. Jazz board is in the control box were the digital numbers light up.
