Ok, sounds like the speed pot,

Can you move the throttle lever up and down, try going along at a constant speed (losing power ?) then move the lever up & down ?

does it improve response ? if so replace the speed pot.

GeWiz.

Freerider Mayfair 6S HD Mobility Scooter. Is my charger broken on it?

Question edited for clarity.

If it is this type with a UK 13 amp plug, then the fuse in the plug is the only one. Take it into a local appliance repair shop and ask if they can test it.

Freerider Mayfair-S Mobility Scooter continually beeping after changing tyre.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from MISC to a Freereider category.

Somewhere at the Freewheel there must be a switch and it isn't registering that Freewheel is disengaged.

Here is the parts diagram, but it gives no clues. You could phone them?

Hi, my wife's freerider Mayfair mobility scooter keeps going slow, have turned speed control down but still seems to loose power, doesn't stop just slows then reverts back to the speed set.

there are four possible reasons why a mobility scooter loose power including the user weight (vs. max weight of a mobility scooter), the weather condition, the riding routine and the battery age. You can check those factors to figure out the root cause. http://trustedmobilityscooters.com/reasons-mobility-scooters-loose-power

How do I get to the batteries on my mayfair freerider

Lift the seat off. remove seat mount by removing pin or screws. Lift plastic cover off carefully but mind cables going to lights. These can be unplugged. And there should be your batteries.

I have a mayfair freerider scooter and all of a sudden it wont charge up. charger says abnormal charge. Is there something wrong wiyh the batteries or charger?

try borrowing a charger from a friend or neighbor to charge your scooter If it charges the batteries then your charger is bad if it doesn't charge your batteries then the batteries are bad Hope this helps
