Thanks Jay

Do not attempt this. There are alighnments here that may need to be made.Just clean the dust off the lens surface. Use micro fiber towel or lense cleaning cloth.

When using any lens, the view through the viewfinder has small spots like a liquid was sprayed on a optical component. What is this and how can I fix it?

It could be on the mirror, the underside of the focusing screen, or the back of the viewfinder. All three can be inspected visually.

The back of the viewfinder can be cleaned with any window cleaner. Don't spray any directly onto the camera, but rather onto a clean microfiber cloth and then wipe the viewfinder clean.

The mirror and the focusing screen are more delicate. First try a handheld blower (NOT canned compressed air). If that doesn't do it, try a camel-hair brush. Only then resort to wiping it with a clean dry microfiber cloth. Use common sense, and avoid scratching the mirror/focusing screen.

If it's on the inside, the camera will need professional cleaning.

Mitsubishi wd 62527 has very dark picture changed

Clean the small front projection mirror. That mirror can get dust on it and will cause the projected image to appear dull and dim and cleaning that mirror will usually restore the brightness and crisp details in the image.

Cleaning webs from inside screen

There are two ways to do this---the hard way which is to remove the entire front screen OR

What I do is (with the set unplugged) remove the back cover of the set; you should see the three large black lens.

Most of these sets there will be enough room to get a swiffer duster up inside to gently catch and remove all the spider webs. If there is not enough room let me know and I will tell you how to remove the front screen.

Also---if you can see those large black lens---clean the dust off of them with a lens cloth or paper towel with glass cleaner sprayed on the towel.

If you can reach the webs from the back do not exert pressure when you wipe the inside of the screens---easy to scratch them.

If you have questions let me know BEFORE you attempt this.

If this helped or told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

How & what do I use to clean the mirror

You can use glass cleaner to clean the mirror once a year (more for heavy smokers). Some models use the glass mirror, some use the Tin Foil like stuff on wood that scratches really easy, on those use a softer paper or cloth and spray it and wipe the spray off in one direction gently so you don't damage the fake mirror.
also do not clean the front screens (lentic and fresnel lens) you will create white/clear spots on them , damp a soft paper or cloth withwater
if you need to wipe the outside screen protector.
hope this helps

Cleaned inside of viewfinder, now AF focus lights gone

Then you learn, when everything works fine, dont mess with it! Have a look at the gold pins that rely the body to the lens. Also check that your lens manual switch focus is engaged... Try a friend lens to see if its your cam or the lens...

Large dust circle on a Toshiba 50H95 RPTV

No the front panel will only give you access to the CRT circuits. Remove the back panel. UNPLUG your set. You should be able to reach inside (its a stretch for sure) to clean the screen, clean the tubes and if you reach up behind you can actually clean the mirror. This will greatly improve your picture. Do not use windex just a damp soft cloth then dry with a soft cloth. The mirror cleaning is most important to get a nice bright picture. Over the years the mirror tends to get dull. Hope this helps.
