It wont start on any of the cycles and then the LD light comes on.

try any button sequences yet . try holding start button and a cycle button hold both down to reset

1. ld means long drain. If it takes too long to drain it won't go into spin or other cycles. It's possible that you have a blockage in your drain hose or pump, or your pump has gone out. Remove pump and check for any blockages. Replace your Drain pump if it is found to be bad.
2. Also, some washing machines have a pressure sensor that can fail causing the ld code to come up.
3. Last but not least, if the drain pump was replaced, and hoses were unclogged, and you still have the same problem, your control board may have failed.

The switch in the lid is out of position or gone bad.

LD error code means long drain, you can try to check the drain hose and clean it completely. Also take out the agitator and check any stuck clothes there. After this if the problem is back then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

LD is long Drain.

You'll need to crawl underneath and disconnect the hoses to check the traps for obstructions.
Have a pan handy to catch the water.

wire is lose next to the control panel.. you need to take off the front door panel, unhook the control panel - then look at the wires next to the latch.. One of them will be loose

“LD” stands for “long drain,” meaning it took an excessively long time for water to drain out of the washer. Common causes for this are kinked drain hose or clothing, like panties or socks, caught in the pump suction hose. Why, I’ve even heard of bra wires coming loose and getting stuck in that hose, collecting all sorts of gookus and pinching off the flow of water to the pump. Can you imagine? Yea verily, as surely as the Sacred Suds doth eternally pass my lips, the “LD” error code springs forth from such anomalies.

umm. thinkin perhaps something flaoting around on the drain pump house perhaps causing partial restriction of drain capability.new pump doesnt maen something cant get struck in impeller

mpratt, check to make sure there is no restriction in your pressure switch tube.it could also be kinked.

remove the harness and replace it is what this will lead to,just watch and you'll see
