No Sound Now on Computer

My daughter received an i-pod for Christmas we hooked it up to our Acer Aspire T-180. Sound worked last night. Got up today no sound whatsoever, not even when rebooting PC. Took Speakers off PC and hooked up the speakers to her ipod and they still work. Any suggestions on how to get sound back. (Have speakers hooked back up to PC now)

The only way I could get my speakers to work on my Acer T 180 desktop was to plug them into the headphone outlet (light green) on the front of my CPU. This was the suggestion I got from the acer.com troubleshooting link. Hope it works for you.

Might be trivial, but try the volume controls, that little speaker icon on the Windows task bar.

OK. Right click on the speeker icon in Widnows, select Open Volume control. You should see a large panel with vertical sliders.

Volume Control and Wave should be up and not mute.

Click the Options menu item. See attched picture.

Make sure the correct audio device is selected.

No Sound- my daughter deleted a program last night that she thought i did not need

You could try to re-install the audio driver, which you can find here, to see if your sound issues get fixed up.
Just my 2 cents...

Acer aspire 5532 won't connect to our wireless

Please be sure that, the machine has a integrated wireless receiver. Then you have to make a new wireless connection and not a lan cable connection.

If you need information how to do that, please reply here

What age group uses the Acer Aspire? I bought one for my 17 year old granddaughter for Christmas but now I'm afraid it may be too young for her?

In my opinion, that is a good desktop computer for that age group. It's fast enough to keep up with multitasking, like having myspace, facebook, twitter, youtube (I have a 15 year old daughter), and hopefully something to do with homework up. It is upgradable to 2GIGs of RAM and you can also upgrade the processor later if she does anything intensive in college.

I have about the same system, although mine is self built, for my daughter and at this time she doesn't need anything more or less.

Have a Merry Christmas and I am sure she will love it.

I have an Acer laptop 3680 computer; it was working great last night. This morning, it will not turn on when I press the buttom?

It may be turning on but the screen may be dead. See if you can hit f2 as soon as you turn it on. Also try hooking it up to an external monitor.

No sound on pc

are you using itunes to play your music? There are a number of different volume controls, double click the little speaker icon in the bottom right corner, make sure all the volume levels are at maximum and that the mute box isn't ticked. If you have a media keyboard with volume controls make sure volume is up and again not muted. Failing that double check your speakers are plugged into the correct socket, usually the green one.

No sound on pc

First plug the speaker pin in the back panel and then in the front panel of PC .
If u receive sound in any Panel.. then, may speaker settings in software is not proper... adjust it from the audio software icon in the task bar.. near the clock.....If not then, the that panel got fault...
call local technician
Or Re install audio driver & restart!
