With GE
SHORTED OVEN SENSOR CIRCUIT
if your comfortable taking the range out of the box, it is a pretty easy repair. The oven sensor is a small tube in the range that "sences" temp.
although it could be the erc, its more than likely the sonsor itself.
it is on the back wall and has to be unplugged from the back to be removed
there are two screws that hold it on the back wall
put the new one in and you should be ready to go
goto appliancepartspros.com
type in your modle number and look in the cavity section
your looking for the oven sensor
they usually run around 20-30 dollars

GE Profile convection with light bulb burning out

Multiple possibilities.
  • Being used as a night lite. (continuous use)
  • Not using a light bulb designed for use in a oven.
  • Inexpensive bulb. (very low lamp hour rating).
  • Oven door slamming.
  • Over voltage condition.
  • (My favorite) Light bulb swapping Gnomes.
Please take the time to give this solution a fix ya rating.
