How to suscribe packet data in nokia 2700 classic

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

The term, 'Packet Data' refers to Internet service on your phone. In order to get Internet service on your phone, you'll need to contact your cellular service provider's Customer Service (AT&T, T-Mobile, O2 - whoever you have cellular service with) and request to add a "Data Plan" to your cell phone account. Usually, there will be several different plans to choose from.

If you should currently be able to access the Internet on your phone - but cannot, then contact your cellular service provider and request Tech Support assistance. They'll be glad to help you with the problem.

Once you purchase a Data Plan and your cellular Internet service is activated, it can take up to 24-hours before you can use it on your phone.

How come i cant get somethings on the internet on my phone?

Hi there,
It's important to understand how you can have data connection to your phone so as to access internet e.t.c.

Basics:
1. Access through the Network:
Mobile Providers (Vodafone, e.t.c.) provide data access to the users on request (or by default in some cases). This data access is through the NETWORK of the mobile operator and uses 2G, 3G, GPRS, EDGE protocols to access the network.
2. Access through WiFi or WAN:
A smartphone can access internet using the WiFi or WAN protocol (wireless lan). In order to connect to the WiFi network you need capability from your phone and also to find an Access Point of Wifi (AP) to connect to. WiFi networks are FREE or PAID. You can find free networks usually in central squares, caffee's e.t.c. Also, some providers (Vodafone, e.t.c.) provide WiFi APs and you can use prepaid cards or fixed contracts in order to access them.

SGH G600
Unfortunately your phone DOES NOT support the WiFi protocol, so you can only access internet through the 1st option.
In order to do that, we need that your operator allows the DATA traffic for you and we also need to setup your phone in order to accept/send DATA.

How to do it.
1. Mobile operator settings: Pls call your mobile operator and ask them if your number has DATA allowed (DATA plan, or DATA connectivity). If so, you are OK. If not, pls check the price rates (per MB or per usage time) and -if it's within your budget- ask them to activate DATA to your phone.
2. Phone settings: Your phone has the following symbols that indicate Data connection:
z+1hzaqrlnqwwvwdfr1lzkykn1b8bkb4taelpwbtemaaaaaelftksuqmcc GPRS signal
l6ehksvkldgdezebnabnyzrvbdahxgoi73e0f3iim39j5lejkcqpinnueqzqeddx6a9xkznrlwbw7botcnfduu4c6ywjywlty5geilyaqw6jizfmxaaaaabjru5erkjggg== EDGE signal
In order to setup the Data connection there are the following configuration options in your phone:
1. Menu -> Setup Wizard. Setup wizard can setup your phone for various tasks. Try it.
2. Menu -> Browser Settings. You can select the connection profile to be used for DATA.
take into account that in order to setup a DATA connection you need to setup the AP of the GPRS/EDGE as well (usually something like internet.vodafone.com)

...BUT the easiest solution your you is to call your provider, give your number and phone model/type and ask them to send you an automated message that has all the needed settings for your phone so as to have access to DATA.

You click on the message send and all needed settings are OK.
You can now access internet!

If above solution was helpful, pls rate it.
Thnx.

Subscribe to packet data first

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

If you're trying to access the Internet on your phone but have not signed up for a Data Service plan with your Cellular service Provider, you'll receive the message, "Subscribe to Packet Data First."

To access the Internet on your phone, call your cell phone company and have them add a Data plan to your account. Data plans (to use the Internet) are options that are not included with your regular cellular service plan.

If you already purchased a Data plan but cannot get to the Internet on your phone, call your cell phone company and request assistance. They'll be glad to assist you.

6300 packet data not available

Packet Data or Internet access is not automatically available as it is pretty expensive unless you have a Data Plan included: if you need Data, you need to request this option from your Mobile Service Provider and/or ask the Support team to SMS you all the appropriate settings (Internet, Data Packet, GPRS, MMS, etc).
Hope it helps!

Hi! Can you please confirm that you've subscribed for BlackBerry data plan? For your information having an unlimited data plan will not entitle you use browser in BlackBerry device. For browsing in BlackBerry device your SIM card need to have special APN blackberry.net.

If you already have BlackBerry data plan then

go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Host Routing Table -> click Menu button -> select Register Now

or

Click Alt button and click Menu button -> select Show All. Look for the Internet Browser icon there.

Just bought a blackberry today and it wont let me on the internet, it says something about Wi-Fi connection. What do i do?

BlackBerries have different browsing profiles. Most likely your default is set to WiFi or HotSpot browser. Also, if you don't have a data plan with your carrier that might explain it. Without a data plan these phones can only connect through WiFi. Try going into the browser, selecting options and making sure that the default browser is Internet Browser.

Youtube problems

For some strange reason, it seems that 9 out
of 10 error messages like this are with Firefox.

If "your browser sent a request that this server
could not understand", that "request" could be
a bad, false or "overlarge" cookie.

Simply delete all your cookies, and everything
should be fine. Don't worry about getting rid of
them; absolutely nothing bad will happen. The
worst-case scenario is that you'll have to input
your username and password again when you
revisit those websites. That's all.

While you're erasing your cookies, you should
also contemplate deleting all your "temporary
internet files" and "history" to make everything
fresh and new:

Internet Explorer 6:
> Tools > Internet Options
> Delete Cookies > OK
> Delete Files > OK
> Clear History > Yes
> OK

Internet Explorer 7:
> Tools > Internet Options > Delete...
> Delete files > Yes
> Delete cookies > OK
> Delete history > OK
> Close (browsing history window)
> OK

Mozilla Firefox
> Tools > Clear Private Data

(x) Saved Form and Search History

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. Cookie: VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=Tbj1I4XAoBM;...

If "your browser sent a request that this server could not understand"
and "size of request header field exceeds server limit", your request
is a bad or oversized cookie. (The same thing is true for "Error 400").

For some very strange reason, it seems 9 of
10 Bad Request messages implicate Firefox.

Simply delete your "Cookies" and everything
will be okay. Don't worry about erasing them;
nothing bad will happen. You won't lose your
internet browser's "Bookmarks" or "Favorites".
The worst thing that could happen is you will
be asked to retype your username/password
when you return to YouTube and some other
websites -- that's all.

As you're dumping your cookies, you should
also erase all your "Temporary Internet Files"
and "History". This will render your computer
totally "fresh" in YouTube's eyes. It would be
best if you shutdown / reboot after doing this:

Internet Explorer 6:
→ Tools → Internet Options
→ Delete Cookies → OK
→ Delete Files → OK
→ Clear History → Yes
→ OK

Internet Explorer 7:
→ Tools → Internet Options → Delete...
→ Delete files → Yes
→ Delete cookies → OK
→ Delete history → OK
→ Close (browsing history window)
→ OK

Mozilla Firefox
→ Tools → Clear Private Data
[x] Browsing History
[x] Download History
[x] Saved Form and Search History
[x] Cache
[x] Cookies
→ Clear Private Data Now
