The battery may not be charged to full capacity. Does the battery show full charge when you charge it for 12 hours?
The adapter may be faulty. Check the battery indicator on the phone when it is being charged.

Shows white screen with nokia logo only.Won't boot to normal state.

Do a full phone format:
1. Make sure you have at least 3/4 of your battery charge.
2. Switch-off the phone
3. Press & hold the Green Dial key, the star ( * ) key & the #3 at the same time and switch on the phone
4. Do not let go of the keys (except the power button) until you see the fomatting message
After a few minutes, the phone will boot up.

Hello I just got an chinese clone iphone from my aunty and it wont turn on... apparently it worked when she first got it but it has been inactive for a few months... no battery charging sign has appeared on the screen like the manual says it would...and my macbook is not picking it up via usb... is it dead now?

hi adeola, you need a .jar file. go to www.getjar.com choose your device (there's no n99i-unless some chinese clone). you can check your device id on the white sticker under battery.

Because it has fully discharged, the battery has to be replaced. Try replacing the battery.

Yes that is software problem, you need to reflashing phone firmware. Some tools and Software you need ; Nokia Flasher cable, Nokia tool Software, Nokia flasher software, a proper Nokia Firware ( NHM-5)

try a new battery and if that does not work then try updating the firmware but their is no website for these chinese phones, so you will need to take it into a mobile repair shop.

N73 shutdown

chinese versions of nokia phones are duplicates and fakes, they are pirated. there is not much you can do with them and it is a big risk to buy one. i wouldnt advise you to get any chinese version of any nokia phone.
the only way you might charge it is through a universal charger. make sure you have connected the betery corectly and then charge it till its fully charged. if that does not work, try getin a new batery

Men you really got a problem!
ok Try Ebay, if not www.alibaba.com sure you can find the batery there.
Other ways:
the batery its not charging at all?
you can buy a Universal Batery Cell phone carger, these ones got the ability of charge some times baterys whit thiis kind of problem.
Make an adaptation from other batery (just look details as Voltage, amps) sometimes its require soldering directly to your phone :S (pretty extreme)
