Rinnai, toyostove and monitor heaters are basically all the same. first you have to make sure your fuel valve is open at the tank. next you have to reset the tank lockout on the sump. then set your set point higher than your room temperature. now press on. the unit will go through a 300 second purge cycle. the pot heater should turn on when the purge cycle starts. after the purge cycle the fuel pump turns on and pumps fuel into the pot. when it vaporizes the igniter lights it. when a flame is detected the flame rod says ok to keep running so the fuel pump shifts into high speed. when plenum temperature reaches a preset level the fan turns on.

I have a 30000 btu rinnai floor heater mod 630530. The pilot wont stay lit . I have installed a new thermo couple . please help

be sure the thermocouple is in the pilot's flame and hold down the pilot lighting button long enough to heat it before trying to operate the heater...20 to 30 seconds should be enough. If this doesn't work, you may have a bad gas valve

Why does red light on "on" button stay on?

Hello,
The reason the red light on your rinnai vent free gas heater stays on simply is because it is having power on it, if it is unplugged, it will go off, or if you turn off the switch from the power outlet, then it will go off too.
As long as there is power supplied to the rinnai vent free gas heater, the power light will remain on.
Take care and good luck

How do you light the rinnai glo-ray heater

Without pushing in the knob, turn knob to "IGN" position, THEN press and hold in knob while in that position, repeatedly press "Ignitor" button. (If it's the first time you've lit it, it may take up to 5 minutes of doing this to get the gas line supply full enough to light the pilot.) After the pilot is lit, continue to hold in "IGN" button for 10 seconds, then release, then you should be good to go.
