I need to know how to complete my setup I got as far as the setting screen where they ask u your IP address etc. Now I can't get in to complete the set up. What do put in those blanks that ask for you

If you are in the Router setup, (and not a PC setup,) then that would only apply if you had a "Static" Public IP address, (this is an address that never changes, vs. 'Dynamic' ones that do change.) Usually only a business would have 'static' Public IP addresses, and the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) charge extra for them.

Without knowing more about the make/model Router you have, it would be difficult to give you further instructions, but look for settings that would assign the IP address 'automtically'

I am entering the IP address into the address bar and ask.com is coming up. How do I access the ip address?

In Windows, click on the start button, then click "Run", when it asks you to type in the name of the program, type "cmd". This will open a DOS window. From the DOS prompt, type "ipconfig".
This should give you your IP address and the DNS address, which is normally the router's address.

During set up router is asking for static IP address. Why is this question asked?

It should ask you to enter at least one Static IP address. You have to enter the IP address given by your ISP. Without IP address, you'll not be able set up the router. You can assign the DHCP later for the machines which will be connected with the router..

Where is my printer IP address

The printer IP address is something you have to add. You can go to Xerox.com and go to support, type in your model number and then to support again.
Then enter IP in the search box and it will tell you step by step how to set it up.
You can set the printer up with a USB cable and it will skip that all together.
The reason it is asking you for the IP address is so it can find the printer and automatically add it.

Avaya assighning New static IP address after IP address conflict

The phone is looking for the calsrv ip address, which it cant see. So it is trying to "Dsicover" it.

Go to another phone and press "mute"ADDR#

You can then see the ip address information and input it into the phone that is incorrect.

I can't find the IP Address on my ARRIS Router!

the ip address should be given automatically by the router but since it is asking,
in your computer go to start,run,type in cmd and hit enterm
it should open a black box in that box type in ipconfig and hit enter,
it should give u a list of result,search the one which says ip address,
if the ip address of ur computer is 192.168.1.2,then the ip address for your xbox should be 192.168.1.7,
if the ip address is different than the example i gave you just make sure that the difference between the last numbers should be 5 atleast....let me kno the ip address of your computer and i can tell what ip address u need
for the xbox...........

Change ip

Your IP address is assigned (leased) to you from your internet service provider. With that being said, you could possibly call them and ask to release your old IP address and have them assign a new one. If you happen to have a static IP address assigned from your ISP you can call them as well and ask to have your IP address changed too. It would be up to them to change it though.

Static ip address

It is a ADSL Modem. It should have all ports open. In order to set a EXTERNAL static Ip address, you would have to call up your ISP and ask for a static IP address.

IP address usually comes from the device that provides your internet IE router or modem via a network cable. If you have an IP address and you run windows you can
Access command / dos prompt
Go to Start >> run >> type "CMD"
In the command window type "ipconfig"
This ill list your ip address
if you need more info provide some of the following info:
What OS are you using?
What program is asking for an IP address?
What o you have for a network?
nternet? Home networking? Do you have a cable or DSL modem?
What is the problem that this is causing example no internet?
Do you have more then one computer?
