Question about JVC GR-D370 Mini DV Digital Camcorder

Panasonic Nv DS60 won't record!

My Panasonic Nv DS60 won't record. Keep getting warning sign meaning no tape inserted when there is. It will play, rewind, fast forward just not record. Have tried other tapes but no difference

We have the same problem and it appeared after we had left the battery mounted.

It was said in the manual that you should not leave the battery on the camera when not in use.

Is there someone who knows how to reboot the camera?

Need to replace a new battery.

The tape will be badly damaged if trapped in camera, this always happens when the camera has got dirty heads and capstan rollers, some times the door wont open if this happens, but if it does open your local camera shop may get the film out.

Eject the tape and try it with another one.

The red tape light usually means that the tape is jamed.

Video transfer not working

connect VCR(recorder) to TV, select TV proper channel to get signal from VCR
connect Mini DV to VCR, for example, you are using AV1 input on your VCR
on you VCR, select channel(or input) to AV1, insert a blank tape
turn your Mini DV to play mode and play, press REC on your VCR

you should get picture now.
