You should be able to. It sounds like your radio is hooked up in a manner that disconnects it from ALL the power once the ignition is turned off. This causes the radio to return to channel 9 by default program when powered on again.
Try connecting the radio hotwire to the fusebox at the factory am/fm radio fuse junction (be sure the amps for the cb + the am/fm don't exceed the rating for the fuse). This should keep power supplied to the radio even with the engine off, and it should remain tuned to channel one every time you turn it on.

Testimonial: "You are right.I was using it with a 220 volt timer, I know that it will not work so i will have to get the old type cb a none digital type. thanks "

How do I put this tv on channel one? The instruction on the new remote I bought says to put tv on 1 and I can't get tv to go to channel 1.

from what I understand all TV's start with #2 channel 1 is reserved for emergency freq. . ur instruction might mean put remote in TV1 mode instead of TV2 mode , incase it is like a dual remote..

The channel 1 the light red is on

As always with stereo amps the two channels are identical, so if one goes wrong you have the other as a control for testing purposes. So if you start by looking and comparing the two channels. that's a start! If a part looks odd on the faulty channel, but is fine on the good channel you have found the problem. You can also do tests, such as touching the two channels with an insulated screwdriver, while powered up. If it buzzers on the good channel, it should buzz on the other channel at that point. Keep away from the power supply and ignore anything that is on it's own, that has no duplicate, or is common to both channels.

I lost the remote to my Toshiba cz27t31. I bought an RCA universal remote. The RCA manual says the tv should be set to channel 1. But I can't change the channel without the remote. So I am SOL! How...

  • You have to set the channel you want as a favorite first and you can do this from the TV. This is why the channels skip as you press up and down. Sometime or another those were someones favorite channels.
  1. Press "MENU" on the TV until "SET UP" appears on the screen.
  2. Now press ^ or v until "FAVORITE CH" appears in purple.
  3. Now press < or > to display the favorite channel FAVORITE CH menu.
  4. You will use < or > to got between "SET and "CLEAR."
  5. So now go to "SET" and press ^ or v until you get to channel 1.
  6. If you want to delete a channel first then select "CLEAR" and then add the channel you wish.
  • What your doing when you push the channel up and down on the TV buttons is going through the favorite channels. So make one of the favorite channels channel 1 and program your remote.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.
Regards, Tony

Iv tuned in a new dgital tv, but channel 1 and 2 dont tune it, programs start a 3, if u go backwards, its channel 805 i think press the remote button to analauge and u get channel 1 and 2 but not good...

If you've got a digital box from your cable provider, your tv most likely needs to be on channel 3. At that point you would use the remote that came with the digital box to change the channel. (in other words, your tv would always stay on channel 3)

My TT was imported new from Japan....Has AMAZING video and sound system unfortunateley its all Japanese to me!! The manual that comes with it is about an inch think...Its got built in Navigation system...

I know you can that you can change this by simply hooking up a scan tool for specific year. There are language options accessible for situations like this. Here is a sample of what can be changed using VAG 5052 or equivalent scanners.
