Unless some one installed the heater,it will not have one.If it was put on at the factory, then it could be tied into a wire loom somewhere under the hood.Hope this was some help.

Where is block heater located on 2011 Chrysler 200

Dear Colleen,
No American car manufacturer comes with a block heater from the factory.
These are a dealer installed item.
Because there are different kinds of block heaters, it will depend on the car dealer and the wishes of the customer as to which kind is installed.
The most common kind is one that is installed where there was a freeze plug or a sand plug in the block.
It was electric, and had a heating element that warms the coolant in the lower area of the engine block.
Another kind goes into a heater or a radiator hose, and again, has a heating element that warms the coolant.
If you have a 200 and it has one installed, look all over the engine for the electric wire with a plug to plug in to a wall socket.
God bless your efforts.

How to get off a sized spark plug on my 2002 oldsmobile shillouet

Hi Betty,
It might be possible to free the seized plug by getting some heat onto the engine block either by running the engine for a while, or, if it can't be run, heating the engine block at the point immediately round the seized plug. TAKE CARE! There's fuel around. Keep any source of heat away from areas containing fuel. Also consider using an extension to the plug wrench in order to get more force onto the plug but be careful not to fracture the ceramic part of the plug.

Cold start wont

First of all, open the hood and check closely for any kind of cord that has the typical 110 v plug in. Also, look at the grill area and under the front bumper for any kind of cord you could plug into a 110 outlet. However, it is more likely that you DO NOT have an engine block heater. They are an optional item on a new car, or, more likely, they are an add-on that the vehicle's previous owner has had a shop install. That would also be an option for you. A vehicle that won't start when it's cold, the first thing you need to do is to make sure you have a GOOD BATTERY in it. I don't know if a hair dryer would do the job for you, or not. There are several things you can do in this predicament to attempt to heat up a cold engine, but all of them I can think of runs some risk of causing a fire. I'm guessing that you're going to need someone to help you get it started, because I'm thinking that you've probably ran the battery down in your many attempts to start it.... and it wouldn't start now even if it turned warm outside... meaning someone is going to have to jump-start you with a set of battery jumper cables. Once you get it running again, you will need to take measures to do whatever it takes to insure that it will start next time it gets real cold outside.. First of all, get your battery checked out and replaced, if need be. (Note: If battery is over four or five years old, you might consider replacing it, anyway....and just that might solve all your problems.) Next, if you still think you need to be able to plug it in, take it to a mechanic and have him examine your vehicle and give you a quote to install an engine block heater.. Good luck.

I plug my 92 saturn ,but it doesn,t seem to heat

I'm going to assume this is an aftermarket block heater that goes in the side where a freeze plug goes, or in one of the hoses.
Most heaters have a thermostat and an inline fuse. The fuse could be in the cord. Its possible the heating element is burned out, much like an element in a coffee pot.

2004fordtaurus3.0 engine runs rough in cold weather when started. like today in new york 13degee

You know what...there's nothing wrong with your engine...When metal is cold...it contracts...thus causing more friction between moving parts...this is why your motor runs rough in cold weather...I'm gonna give you a crazy suggestion...Have you heard of a "Block Heater"...it is a heated dip stick that you place in your engine overnight..
this device keeps your oil at operating temp overnight...so when you start your car....the block is warm...and the oil flows like magic..just pull out your dipstick...insert the block heater...and rest easy...of course...it has to plugged into a 110 volt outlet...You can find these online by Googleing it or go to www.yourautonetwork.com...Give it a try and let me know....I hope this was helpful....PEACE.....

Ord galaxy 1998 tdi 110 radiator over heating but

you need to flush the radiator out.
With the engine cold, remove coolant bottle cap to release pressure.
Drain engine coolant from drain plug on radiator.
With the drain plug removed disconnect the highest hose connected to a radiator.
use an hosepipe and put it in place of the disconnected radiator pipe.
turn on the water to the hose pipe and let it flush out any sludge accumulated in the radiator. after a few minutes turn off water supply, reconnect radiator hose and drain plug and refil using recommended coolant mix for your galaxy (purchased at most autofactors and garages).
Also check your thermostat as if this is faulty it would stop the flow of coolant running around your engine.

hope this helps

What and where is the freeze plug(s)..Is it costly to repair, can i do it? Do I NEED TO replace the radiator, it is a 1995, and has no major repairs? Also in solving my heat problem, and I find it is the...

Well the so called freeze plug as you call them is called a CORE plug as when the block is cast in steel/ iron or what ever the core plugs are there to wash out all the Sand and then put in Brass plugs which come out when freezes up,and they are in the block and in the heads Just fill with water and see were it leaks from either side if block or rear of block or in the heads under camshafts.
The block ones you can do yourself by knocking IN and then pulling them out with a big screwdriver but some are a bugger to get at
But if the leak is out side one then you might have to take off the exhaust manifold etc..
(Let me know how you get on with it)
No you dont need a new radiator or heating coil
and when you have repaired it we can also fix the heating problems.. Ron

Can't find "Block Heater" plug-in on my 94 Cherokee Country

Hello,
Well the original owner may have got taken. I suggest looking nowhere near the air cleaner for the factorry installed Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Eagle block heaters are mounted on the side of the engine in a freeze plug port. There was an option available for the 4.0L and had a removeable 110 volt plug. You want to look on the side of the engine block and look for a 110 volt cord or a freeze plug with two electrical connectors sticking out. You may have to order the electrical extension cord from the dealer and is VIN specific. You may have to call a wrecking yard or dealer in Canada.
Good Luck.
