My motorola Q charger is not charging my battery.

The charging unit may have monitoring circuit on each slots to switch the charging current to trickly charge to prevent over charging the battery.

If your phone is still under warranty the best solution is to get it replaced.The problem is actually with the port of the charger.I mean the hole in which you plug in your charger isn't working properly.Where as your USB port is different and works properly so it charges the battery.So you will have to get this repaired.

sometimes any motorola phone will give you this message. The phone will still charge but it has to be powered down to charge. Sometimes turning it off, plugging in, and then powering on will help reset the phone.

I had this same problem. I called customer service and they sent me a new battery. But before the new battery arrived I took the old one out and then put it back in after approx. 2 minutes. The phone started working fine again.

Remove battery, clean contacts between battery and phone, also be sure to use an original Motorola charger instead of one of those "universal" type chargers.Hope this helps!

try taking out the sim and blow the stuff out of it. Then put it back together and see what happens

the only things i can think to tell you are
send it in for repairs,
or get an external charger.
the charger would probably be less expensive

check your cigarette lighter, it may have a blown fuse , check to make sure its not the problem.
